The Bolt only has one gear, so there is no such thing as a low gear.
The "L" is poorly named as it will confuse people who have driven ICE which is everyone.
I always drive in "L" in the city and on the highway. With the more aggressive "L" mode regen, I am getting close to 300 miles range.
Thanks for the info.
I finally got my first full change today. I charge 110v at work but have a short commute, so I have been adding miles bit by bit. Always in L, mostly city traffic, 70 degree Bay Area summer.
Final results: 285 mile range with 336 max and 233 min...
vrpratt - I frequently drive from Moutain View to Pacific Grove then walk over to Hopkins to watch the seals. It is exactly 90 miles door to door. I look forward to taking my Bolt on the next drive.
The better solution is to get eco-minded Stanford to pop for a 220v station placed inside...
I have had my Bolt from about six weeks. Until today, I had not bothered to do a full change. It is now indicating 85% charge level with an estimated 252 miles range and still adding more. Is one of those numbers off or am I really getting that much range?
BTW, I seem to be getting a bit...
Don't mess with overloading older wiring. Your day could end badly.
You probably have your main panel in the garage or close to it. For not much money, you could have a local electrition come out and add a dedicated breaker in the panel (assuming there is room) with a three-wire outlet next...
Thank you, Patronus and Airbesar.
That's great. 10 minutes of heat or AC before I walk out the door and get in the car will be nice. Half the time I won't be plugged-in, but 10 minutes should not make too much of a drop on the battery.
230+ mile range, 3-mile commute. :)
I am looking to buy a Bolt. I understand that I can remote start a Bolt from my Android phone. Is that correct?
I would like to be able to remote start the Bolt and set the AC or heat level a few minutes before leave my home or office so that it is at a good temperature when I get into the...
