I wish Gm would build an EV that is bigger than the Volt, or even a mid-sized car. We can't all fit into a compact back seat like the Volt has. The sonic has more headroom than the Volt, but the legroom is tighter. We don't know the size the Bolt will be - we know it's based on the Sonic...

Even if there's nothing real ground-breaking or 'pushing the envelope' in the way the Bolt looks, doesn't mean it will keep it from selling. Think of the Toyota Camry, it's been the best selling passenger car in the US for 10 years, and it hasn't had anything revolutionary for at least that long!

Isn't this a moot point? Didn't GM announce they are producing the Bolt EV? Edit: After closely reading the press release, GM says they are releasing a 200 plus mile electric vehicle BASED ON the Bolt EV concept. Nothing anywhere saying they are producing the 'Bolt' for 2016

I liked the BMW i3 and when I drove in it it was roomy and had decent power. However, the 80 mile range just wasn't good enough for me, at that price too, over the Leaf. I think if (when) GM moves on the Bolt EV it will light a fire under the other automakers... it's the start of much higher...
