It is not possible to "overcharge" your battery, the on board charge controller won't do it. It will charge less than full in Hilltop mode and can be set for charge percentage from 40%-100% on 2019 (and presumably newer) Bolts.

Did he just take it out of another Bolt? When I added it later it came as a kit with screws, brackets and the floor all in a box. You should be able to order the brackets and screws thru your dealer's parts dept.

Yes, I bought this kit. for my LT from this seller. Was the OEM parts and went in very easily. Proper color etc. Came with everything needed including the mounting bolts and a rudimentary instruction sheet. Main pain was cutting the plastic circles out at the indicated mounting points.

Well, bummer. Called the infotainment support center and they say they no longer display album art from USB drives. Only the text info. They expect you to be using a smart phone to play music which would supposedly then display the cover art. Since I don't own a smartphone I guess I am out...
