Turned out that that approach would have wasted more time and not worked. The 12 volt battery would not have taken a charge so I would have had to replace it, something covered under warranty but not available at midnight and awkward to do without transportation come morning. I was also under...
I mentioned I also had an LiOn battery jump start pack with me. The first (of three) AAA drivers suggested I try it. I have only ever recharged our phones with this, but this would be a good half-way to full blown test. I had depleted this pack by one phone recharge (it's always been good for a...
I understand Car Wash Mode, which can get a working Bolt into neutral long enough to be pulled through a car wash.
But what about a Bolt with a dead 12 volt battery that won't jump start because it's gone bad (meaning that as soon as the jumper cables are removed that the vehicle shuts down)...
I'm resigned to live with it, but two things bug me:
1. With a shiny new car, you know the first ding (or worse) is inevitable, but you expect to inflict it yourself and stay extra vigilant trying to delay it happening.
2. I hate the dealer run around "We are not GM", but GM was not there to...
Sean-
Thanks for the Android Auto info. I assumed that there was a software component that resided in the car and not that eveyrthing resided in the phone. My error.
My app version is currently 3.3.582063 which would appear to be newer still than the one you referenced.
I'll try your...
As far as I can tell, the Android Auto on my Bolt is the same as when I took delivery a year ago.
I'm hoping for some improvement. Even little things: When I receive a Google Hangouts message and it asks "What is your message?" it records its own question at the start of my reply. Isn't this...
Earlier this month, my wife and I drove our Bolt EV to nearby Anaheim Stadium to see pitching/hitting sensation Shohei Ohtani. The parking lot attendant directed us to turn on our flashers and follow directions to the preferred parking area. We parked as directed and went in to see the game...
Is there a route from Los Angeles to New York City that supports running a Bolt entirely on DC Fast Charge or entirely on a combination of DC Fast Charge and Level II stations?
As the OP in this thread, I am amazed to see so many posts indicating that I "insisted on driving at 75 MPH". Fact is, I never mentioned speeds and that we used cruise control to stay under 60!
Follow-up: We made it! Barely.
When we arrived in Primm with a tiny margin of 13 indicated miles charge left to reach LV after our EVgo problems in Victorville persuaded us to not charge any further, we discovered that the free Chargepoint Level 2 charger iwas not working. The operator did...
