DCFC Stations Bakersfield to the Sierra Nevada East Side Coming

No visible changes or improvements to the two potential sites in Mojave.

DCFC Stations Bakersfield to the Sierra Nevada East Side Coming

I was actually curious if he knew any new information other than that map. The addresses on that map have shifted around over the years and I don’t trust it much. It also lists a ChargePoint station next door to the EV Connect site, which seems fishy. While it would be great to have two...

DCFC Stations Bakersfield to the Sierra Nevada East Side Coming

Do you have any idea where the EV Connect station will be located in Mojave?

DCFC Stations Bakersfield to the Sierra Nevada East Side Coming

Good summary of the efforts Paul. I would be pleasantly surprised if any of these are operational in 2018. I don't expect it. I expect a few in 2019. I've been waiting since 2015 so I've learned that the plans for build-out are not worth anything. Wake me when they're operational and on...

    Maximum Level 2 Charge Rate

It'll do 7.7kW. Examples in archives on various forums

Highest Level 3 kW charge rate observed so far?

55.84 kW from a Electrify America charger in Virginia per Facebook post.

Second Replacement Battery In Three Months

Well, if it's affecting 1% of the batteries, I think it'd be 1000 to 1 odds of being "lucky" twice.

    Bolt EV Competitor Spec Comparison

I just added the Fit EV. (been requested multiple times) It turns out Honda dealers are currently LEASING USED Fit EVs.

    Bolt EV Competitor Spec Comparison

I converted it to a Google docs spreadsheet and have been keeping it updated. Additions or corrections welcome! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qqS_h_lzP1TmJCCc7bkEgLM83UYZnTBOepXczYbyf2k/edit?usp=sharing

How Do I Easily Find Charging Locations?

To my knowledge, none of these have started construction. There is an EVgo charger in Baker under construction, but that is separate from these CA grants.

    Now this is interesting

Sure, it's not very civil but rapid acceleration and regeneration is a fast way to heat up the battery to accept a faster DCFC rate. Here's a good example shown with a Tesla. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1C-tPkevIA

    Useful charging info for newcomers

No, all J1772 EVSE's are compatible with the Bolt EV

    kwh remaining

There is no battery capacity gauge or indication on the Bolt EV like on the LEAF. A full discharge, as described by Michael, is one way to determine this. However, I would expect a dealer to be able to access the battery diagnostics and report battery health or degradation in some way. It...

    YMMV

I'm guessing you didn't click on the link that describes the 469 mi test.

    YMMV

    https://electrek.co/2017/09/13/chevy-bolt-ev-travels-750-km-466-miles-single-charge/ If I did the math conversion correctly, 7.8 kWh/100km = 8.0 mi/kWh. So 400 mi would be possible around 35 mph.

    Weathertech ... Soon

Interesting. There's adequate market for cargo liner but not the all weather mat? Maybe the mold for the cargo liner is significantly cheaper than the floor mats.
  17. Z

    YMMV

400 miles should be achievable at about 35 mph for 12 hours.

    Weathertech ... Soon

Weathertech's website gives you the option of selecting whether you have the false floor. Indicating that you have the false floor (standard on Premier) results in a webpage that says the cargo liner is not available. However, if you select no false floor, it shows you the cargo liner. So I...

    Weathertech ... Soon

I don't see anything other than the "semi-universal" mats. No custom mats for the Bolt EV yet.

    16 amp level 2 charging

The OEM cord works at 240v and 12A perfectly without modification. I made an adapter with Amazon parts for ~$15 or you can buy one for $65. The key is to never use the adapter for anything else. http://www.kawal.net/volt%20adapter.htm...
