    I am wondering what is the reasoning behind putting the rear turn signals in the bumper. In traffic that would be one of the last places to expect to look for them and because they are embedded inside the bumper harder to see. A standard and less expensive placement would be in the brake light...

    Plus, and this has been discussed for years in electric vehicle forums, having motors exposed like this would not make maintenance easier but would require more repairs.
