Driving in L uses More Energy?

My 2020 Bolt seems less Energy efficient. Despite my careful driving (I'm a former Driving Instructor), and a Technique of +53.5 (up from 34.5 when I first got the car), my average mpkW went DOWN from 4.9 (high was 6) to 4.3. And, not once, did I see the green bar indicating excess...

Extension cord use for 2020 Bolt

Apologies. I lost access for some reason. And, after some back and forth Emails with admin, finally got back on track. I fully charged my 2020 Premiere using the heavy duty extension cord w/o a problem (though, it was at 8 Amps. And, yesterday, I had an electrician out (to see about getting an...

Extension cord use for 2020 Bolt

Most likely, Granny is slang, and slow moving. And, at 8 Amps (I too don't know where the 5 Amps came into play; on my 2002 Bolt, 8 is as low as it goes), it'll take longer to top off. Oh, a AV Turbocord? Where did you buy it (I looked on Amazon, and nothing by that name showed up)? Did it come...

How does ChargePoint work, and any idea as to why this happened?

Thanks for the info. Be that as it may, this should have been made clearer. Either by the dealership, or CP And, still, quite a bit of a shock (bad enough at $0.25/min, let alone them charging my c/c an extra $7.50 just because of their bookkeeping methods. Sure am glad I don't have to rely...

    Love my Bolt...HATE the seat!

Amen, brother! I too really like my 2020 Nightfall Grey Bolt Premier (though, not a color I would have chosen in buying a new car). But for me, I absolutely hate the seat since I got it on 5/28. The dealership was kind enough to drive 46 miles to pick me up, let me test drive it around my city...

Extension cord use for 2020 Bolt

Thank you very much. :D Does the Granny setting increase charging time?

How does ChargePoint work, and any idea as to why this happened?

Hello All, Even though I'm a new EV owner, I have been involved with different Forums since 2006. So, I did do a search before making this post. (apologies if it was somewhere else) Now, I did make a post in the ChargePoint thread...

Sorry. Mil, GA should be, Millegeville, GA Not sure what happened here.

    Hello from ChargePoint!

Well, the owner(s) of the ChargePoint station in Mil, GA sure isn't doing this! Not only do they charge $0.25/minute idle time, the cost is charging is the same! So, my 01:29:00 + 00:01:00 before I got out, cost me $22.25 vs $17.29 for my old '18 C-HR. Now, this may have already been discussed...

Does Opening the Drivers Door Stop the Charging Process + Can One Sit in the Car While Charging?

Thanks for the reply. No. This was my first attempt at charging my EV. And, here in Millegeville, GA, there is only 1 ChargePoint w/2 stations. But, there are 2 other EVCSs (Telsa and and unknown, as the Station isn't labeled). Luckily, I went back This A.M., and it worked. But, for the...

Does Opening the Drivers Door Stop the Charging Process + Can One Sit in the Car While Charging?

This morning, I went to my local ChargePoint. 1) After having to move my Bolt forward some (charging hose is too f'n short), and even then, I still had to fight the connection a bit, before I got her plugged in. Now, I had planned on going into the BK and have a seat while the car was...

First successful charge for new 2020 Bolt Please read

Today, I encountered a similar problem when I tried to use ChargePoints' Fast Charger. I think once, I saw the "In Use" lit up. But, it reverted to AVAILABLE, and I wasn't even at a half charge. Then, after several repeated attempts, it never got out of that state. Could it be, that...

Can the Bolt be left on when charging at a 3rd Party place?

Apologies for what could be a duplicate thread. I searched for "left on when charging", and got results showing 109 Pages, with 1,085 posts. :o And, since that is too much to sift through, I thought I'd just ask again. As the title suggests, can the Bolt be left on (when using a 3rd party, was...

Keeping the 2020 Bolt plugged in

Thanks for the prompt reply. I'm not wanting to keep it plugged in all the time, as I don't have a garage, and am in a Duplex community. But, I can see in the Winter (central Georgia can get pretty cold; had a bit of snow on Christmas 2020)

The Chevy Bolt Requires Little Maintenance

Not being one who likes making a duplicate thread, I did a search for, Cleaning under the hood, and this topic was the only one that mentioned those words, but not in search order. So, for cleaning under the hood, how is it done? Once a year, I would take my gasoline car to the neighborhood...

Keeping the 2020 Bolt plugged in

Like its gasoline cousin, going to fill up when needed, I thought that the Bolt only needs to be plugged in for charging when needed. But, in reading the Quick Start Guide, it says, Keep your Bolt plugged in to keep the batteries warm (or something like that). So, more confusion. Especially...

Extension cord use for 2020 Bolt

Greetings All, My first post (3rd visit) here. I'm a bit confused about the use of an extension cord for the home Charging unit. I read on the forum here, that so long as the extension cord is 14 gauge (another post said 12), or larger, it's OK to use one. But, the Get to Know your Bolt quick...
