That is a GREAT idea! I don't see why they couldn't implement this through an OTA like you said. As far as towing, I assume your process is this? Get in the car, drive it up on the dolly, put it in P, strap it all down, then raise the hood and disconnect the negative (while in P)?

Interesting ideas for sure! Quick question... where do you buy a negative cut-off switch? Is there a certain kind that I would need? I like this idea way better than having to unhook the negative cable every time.

Even with using the 10mm, it sounds like a 2 minute process...no dig deal. :D

Thanks David! As far as disconnecting the negative 12-volt, do you have a quick disconnect or do you just undo the terminal and move it where it can't possibly touch the battery? I am finally to the point where we are going to start towing our Bolt so looking for suggestions. :)

Any more updated on this from GM? I am looking to dolly tow my Bolt and am very curious as to if they have made any more suggestions or changes. Thanks!

I am looking forward to it! It's almost too good to be true that I can drive a brand new Bolt for about $8500 over 3 years... and in 3 years, there is no telling what is going to be available that I can take advantage of.... especially being in CARB Cali.

ahhhh gotcha! My wife and I actually just leased a Fiat 500e for $79 / month with $6000 down (same rebates come back in a few months) and we turn it in at the end for $399 (assuming normal wear and tear). Doing that deal is what made me seriously think about the Bolt as its range is a lot...

Thanks for that breakdown! I am still trying to understand the disposition and acquisition fees. I know that when I turn it back in (which I assume is the disposition fee) I owe $300 (and assuming normal wear and tear). They have not stated anything about an acquisition fee... only that I pay...
