If you are a AAA member, EVGo has a membership plan that has no monthly fee and provides a discount. EA has a membership plan that costs $4 per month and provides a discount.

2020 Bolt lease buyout - Battery recall.

You have the contractual option to buy your Bolt. They cannot block you. Their obligation under the recall to replace continues with your purchase. Buy it and pressure them to swap for a 2023 EUV is my advice. If they refuse you are getting a undoubtably getting a good price. I love the...

    Looking at 2019 Bolt EV

Just saw this post as no one comes here anymore! Crickets… I purchased my 2019 in August 2019 and now have 65,000 miles. Only maintenance: 4 new tires and change cabin air filter. Can you charge at 120 volts? Slow but with your limited usage it is workable. Come find me as VoltoBolt on...

    Portable Charger?

You might be misunderstanding what the product is offering. There is no battery contained in this charging cord. You must plug into an existing 5-15 outlet to gain power for the charge. It is only "portable" in the sense that it packs up into a case for easy transportation in the trunk while...

    They call it “camping mode.”

Newbie. Waiting on my 2020 Bolt EV LT

Don't know your electrical rates; they are somewhat higher here in LA. When I first leased my 2017 Bolt EV, I was retired, had stopped driving Uber and would drive up to see a friend in Santa Cruz once every couple of months. My electric bill went up about $40 per month. When I started...

Need help I cannot charge it at home with my 120-volt portable charge cord

As I recall, our Chevy EVSE's cannot be plugged into an outlet on. CFGI. It's been a ghost town on this Forum for me; try asking your question at: chevybolt.org

Battery Degradation with high mile usage

I drive Uber and last week I got a rider from LAX to DTLA to San Diego. I started the drive to San Diego with 10 extra miles on the GOM vs. the destination mileage listed on Waze (on my Apple CarPlay). These are the important variables to watch during the drive plus the amount of KwHs used on...

    2017 Aftermarket DCFC

The Era of abusing new to EV owners with new EVs without a built-in DCFC charger is over! No manufacturer is making that mistake any more; not even GM...

Range with post-recall (new) battery pack

I got my battery replacement in less than 24 hours from Rydell Chevy in Northridge CA. Only one full day of Uber driving so far, so too early to report consistently, but: 1) my 2014 Clipper Creek 25A L2 home charger now takes 13 hours to go from 15% to 100%, when previously it would take 11...

    Used 2017 Bolt with 115,000 miles-need advice

I second all those comments! There is an Uber driver on the other Chevy Bolt EV forum with 130,000 miles and no problems! I also drive Uber and my 2019 is at 55,000 miles and due for a new battery early next month. One-Pedal Driving has changed my life!! I drove 300 Uber miles yesterday...

Are you actually achieving these mileage numbers or just seeing them on the Guess-O-Meter?

Battery Degradation with high mile usage

Stop DCFC at 80% and top off to 100% at L1 or L2 at home. Usually I go from about 28% to 80% at DCFC, drive down some then go to 93% with L2 at home. The lowest I have gone before L2 charging at home is 5%. I hypermiled on the way home to keep it from going lower.
