    Is a pre-order transferrable?

Just got confirmation that my car is produced, and have a VIN number. Irony is that I am not going to take delivery, as I have decided to hold off for now. Does any one know if dealers typically let you transfer the pre-order to someone else?

Thanks for the correction. I was indeed wrong.

Inflated residuals LOWER your lease interest (and sales tax in CA) not raise it. You payment is based on depreciation over the lease term. The higher the residual, the lower the depreciation, resulting in lower monthly payments, and LOWER interest.

Why are the giving the $2.5K CCR incentive only in CA and OR?

Chevy just released lease program details!

Your points are well taken, and would be very valid for a gasoline car. EVs are currently heavily subsidized by manufacturers, and this will not change for a while if gas prices stay where they are. If the federal tax subsidy goes away, this will make it even tougher to push EVs. For Chevy to...

Chevy just released lease program details!

http://leasehackr.com/blog/2016/11/21/bolt-ev-lease-program-announced-309-month $2.5K CA rebate is for families making under 300k per year. Which I assume is a big chunk of this readership. FYI, every other manufacturer offering an EV in this price range is passing on the 7.5K federal tax...

Chevy just released lease program details!

and they SUCK!!! GM is NOT passing on the $7.5K federal tax credit as lease cash that all other manufacturers do. They are instead offering a paltry $2.5K of lease cash. Even with the inflated residual of 61% for 10k miles/yr (60% for 12k and 58% for 15K), that still works out to $309 a month...

    Order Updates?

I also have a TPW of 11/28, but my dealer (Rydell in Northridge CA) said there was a chance that GM would hold cars from the first few runs for 3-4 weeks for QC, and I may not get it in December. Hope to see one in person at the LA Auto show next week :)

How Much I Paid for My Bolt

You make a good point about residual value after the 7.5k tax credit is used. But I have a few comments - My calcs with the same numbers (37.5k,0 down, 36 mo, .00125, 7.5k taxed incentive) come up with a monthly pmt of $466 PLUS tax, which would be over $500 in CA. Drive off $1,670 (508 1st mo...

    Purchase / Lease details

Based on conversation with 3 local dealers, looks like most of them are expecting Bolt lease terms from GM to be very aggressive. They also expect to lease over 75%. They don't expect lease numbers to be announced until production starts, so as not to eat into Volt sales. Mfgs generally are...
