2019 LT, boring least cost white

...but with most of the packages. Bought new in May 2019. Happy to see the facelift here. I gave up on it with all the spam.

    Melted 240 outlet

Yes you'll need to know the power draw of that Leaf EVSE or if there's a switch on it. The Bolt itself will take max 32 amps. So you'd need minimum 40 amp breaker with appropriate gauge cable for the length involved and that amperage. (the system wants to make these links...I didn't)

Does Opening the Drivers Door Stop the Charging Process + Can One Sit in the Car While Charging?

Of course you can sit in the car while charging. And have heat or A/C on while doing so with the car "idling" in P...all while charging. As for not being to get charging again...could be anything. There have been the odd inexplicable times when it seems charging stopped for me. Have you since...

    stock charger says 120V

There are some places that sell the adapter. You can also make your own. All against code (in North America anyway). As you saw, the sticker on the brick only says 120V. Turns out it can do 240V but...not certified. So the whole affair is at your own risk. Then you can use your 240V outlet and...

    Tool

If you mean the threaded rod with the loop eye then that's the tow hook that screws into the front bumper under the little hatch cover.

    2019 Bolt heater turns on

It's Auto Defog. It's in the vehicle settings if you want to stop it. But battery temperature management still goes on. You may find the odd occasion where cooler or warmer air is coming out.

What do you think of Tesla's New Pickup

One word...fugly. Nice range. Not too bad a starting price. Pass.

    Heat On While Fast Charging?

I frequently arrive at a DC charger, press P, leave whatever HVAC is going, get out, set up charging, get in, read everything on the internet, or maybe press main button and go expel waste or get something to eat or drink, come back, turn main button on returning HVAC again and finish reading...

rear camera shows part of back bumper of 2019 bolt car

Mine does too. I'm fine with it. I think it gives it depth and perspective and a feeling of place rather than just a rear view. What I _would_ want is for the image to be full screen.

trading in an EV - do you bring the EVSE Charger?

I would think there'd be a reasonable expectation of any car being returned/traded in to have all the bits it came with. But sure, maybe you swap out the wheels and sold the originals. Maybe you misplaced the owners manual. Maybe you used up the flat-fill goop. Maybe the cheapo air pump broke...

    Charge time finish

This probably isn't *exact* steps but touch the big green Energy button lower left of infotainment screen. Then Charging icon Then Target Charge Level tab. Then the + or - to taste. If there's no line-up behind me and I feel like taking the time then I do one tick down. It's like 92% or something.

When I use paddle brake on steering wheel, does brake light come on?

Go for a drive at night and try it. You should see the red glow reflection in the rear view mirror. (unless you have the Premier with the rear view camera). I think I saw that it lights up for L regen-ing. Not sure about D. I would imagine so.

Re: Introducing EV-MODS Aftermarket Parts for Bolt EV

Funny. By you (EVMODS? EV-MODS?) deleting your OP, it makes my post look like a question out of the blue to no one.

    Pigtail for Bolt

You'll only ever get 12A through the stock EVSE. The trick here is the non-certified 240V as opposed to the certified 120V. That doubles your throughput from about 1400W to about 2800W both @ 12A. Something I've read about RV sites are that some of those plugs may be 30A but they're 120V. So...

Re: Introducing EV-MODS Aftermarket Parts for Bolt EV

I did not start this thread. EVMODS did with a bit of an advertising post. I then asked the following question about one of the products mentioned in that now deleted post. The coil-over kit...is that bolt-on? Or does it require modification?

How common is it to charge 300 miles?

Fantastic isn't it. I'm new to all this too. You don't really need to use the paddle if you keep the shifter in L. It will do all of its own regen-ing without touching the paddle. I do notice a slight extra drag approaching a light when I use it in L. Let go and it relaxes slightly. But I find I...

San Gabriel Valley to Las Vegas by Bolt EV

Thanks for sharing. A little sparse for fast chargers on that stretch :o . I'm quite surprised at the range aspect though. Seems to me you ought to have made it to Baker no problem and then the other way to Victorville no problem. And in both cases not needing to be sparing. Surprising. But...

So, is my Chevy Bolt really an Opel product?

Thanks for all that clarification cwerdna. I DID use several hedging words (as I usually do). But I sure like me some o' them facts. So there you go bobo...Chevy it is.

So, is my Chevy Bolt really an Opel product?

I think I saw somewhere that a Korean design team designed the car. It has Korean batteries. But it's made in the USofA. I think Opel is a GM-owned European brand that they put the Bolt under. They call it the Ampera-E or something like that. iirc

    WiFi Switch in Settings/WiFi

Lotsa things about Onstar bother me. I should test turning that off in the app and then see if I can turn it on on the screen and see if it works on its own or if it turns on the Onstar one anyway. Later :) Too many bugs. Edit: It's pretty useless. I turned off wifi in the app (you can also do...
