This is probably a dumb question. My first WINTER with Bolt. I was thinking of buying a 12x24inch 110 volt heating pad. Putting it on the dash close as I can get it to windshield. And Plugging it into a small AC/DC inverter plugged into the 12VDC plug. Thumbs up or down?

To me the seats are OK, but I am a new owner and no real long trips. But I do take one repeated 1 !/2 hour trip (70 miles) mountain driving and seating that long seems OK.

I think he is paying way too much $. Go to cargurus.com and put in your zip code. And search Chev Bolt. Many Bolts are deeply discounted. You should be able to buy an LT model in the high $20k's. I have seen new Bolts here on the west coast discounted as much a $14,000.

Thanks...very interesting. So, I would better off supplying Solar to my whole house. Which I have thought of doing anyway. PS there is a Youtube Video showing a man charging his Bolt via Solar. I have not digested it all. Looks to be pretty elaborate.

Thanks. So theoretically, would this work? If I have a solar panel array with controller, and supply this to an inverter, converting DC to AC. And then plug the charger that came with the Bolt into the inverter? Just curious. :D
