Bolt Winter Range and Driving Experience

How come the OP only charged the car every 3 or 4 days? (To preserve the battery for longer life I presume) Why not charge the car to 80 or 85% each night instead?

    Q regarding leasing and service

My family have leased 5 electric cars. They are all front wheel drives. We drive the EVs hard for the fun of instant torque, so we don't bother with tire rotations and just change the front tires when they wear out after 18 to 24 months. All our leases are 36 months. You got an EV, have fun...

Interesting article on Bolt Production Line

Great article. Thank you. I thought the last line regarding the Bolt was funny: "Our next challenge is to increase demand”. It's my understanding the more Bolt they sell the more money they will lose.

Bolt Front Seats Recall Media Campaign

Could someone list all the pure EVs under $45,000 with over 200 mile range coming out by Q4 2019? I can only think of three: Leaf 3, Model 3, Chevy Bolt (and maybe also the Model Y). Don't give us the ones 2020 and beyond, because I don't believe press releases projecting out that far...

Chevy Bolt offer in Bay Area

    Base on your post, you are looking at: 1) 4500 + 99 * 35 - CA rebate 2500 = 8000 - 2500 = 5500 2) 0 + 286 * 35 - CA rebate 2500 = 10010 -2500 = 7510 I would do #1 I have never seen others in these forums get $5500. So that would be a great deal if you can get it. $5500 is equivalent to...

As explained in #5 above, we all agree the seat problem is of biblical proportions.

    Is Chevy investigating seat complaints?

Amber: It's been 5 months since your last comment here. It's now September so I assume model year 2018 will be produced soon. Did they make any improvements to the driver's seat?

Best deal in Los Angeles/Southern California??

    After California rebate of $2500: 291 x 35 - 2500 = 10185 - 2500 = 7,685. Very good deal w/ 15k miles per year.

Anything on the 2018 model year?

Bolt has a range of 238 miles because of the LG Chem battery pack. I wonder when we'll see other automakers use LG Chem battery packs to offer long-range electric cars. Has LG Chem and/or other automakers made any announcements yet ?
