    Passenger cannot open Trunk

I don't park in places like that. :) This is why it's nice to have things configurable. I stop/park mainly at my son's school and my home and office and airport. It would drive me nuts to have a two-step process (shift, unlock) to let my kid out of the car 3 times a day.

Almost hit this morning... collision avoided.

I don't know whether we're in the minority or the majority, but my preference is the same as yours. I'd rather just use my foot, and not need to fiddle with the paddle. Simpler is usually better. I suppose GM could offer it both ways if they were a little more ambitious - the paddle could be...

    Passenger cannot open Trunk

Right you are, it's under Vehicle Personalization, p144 of the Manual. So, regardless of what your setting is for this, it IS possible for passengers to open the hatch without a key. Driver just needs to shift to P, and maybe also hit the Unlock button.

    Passenger cannot open Trunk

Are you sure? The doors - all 5 of them - unlock automatically as soon as I shift into P. There is then no need to press Unlock, and if I do, nothing happens as the doors are already unlocked. I'd be surprised if other Bolts are made differently.

Almost hit this morning... collision avoided.

I think you're missing dan's point. Sure, you'd use the brake pedal, but the regenerative braking kicks in sooner than you are physically able to move your foot over from the accelerator to the brake and slam it down. You do get a little early slowing, and I agree with dan that it makes the...

    Passenger cannot open Trunk

No, the unlock button does not work. Though the Owner's Manual says it will unlock the hatch, in fact it does not. What you need to do is shift the car into P. Then the hatch can be opened. It's just one more example of modern car technology annoying you with overprotective nannying. But a...

Orange to Las Vegas Roundtrip: BARELY!

A 30 minute charge got you from 3% to over 80% SOC? That sounds far too good to be true. Typo?

Battery died with 35 miles left. Is this normal?

Sure, except that this promises exactly nothing. The dealer may give you a loaner, he may give you courtesy shuttle service, or he may give you a million dollars for your trouble. Then again, he may not. Contact your dealer for availability of anything. FWIW, my dealer claimed that GM...

    Missing Center Backseat Headrest

Perhaps you should take the middle seat, and make the teenager drive. ;)

    Missing Center Backseat Headrest

It is known, but it is not Bolt-specific. Chevy seems to have eliminated the center head restraint in most (all?) of their cars, up to and including the Impala. Is your dealer complaining to regional GM people about all the other Chevy models with this problem? For that matter, lots of other...

    Missing Center Backseat Headrest

I think you are the first three people to pass for that particular reason.

Battery died with 35 miles left. Is this normal?

I don't think GM bothers to tell us what is 'normal' in this situation. What the manual says is that "This message is most commonly displayed when the high voltage battery charge level is low. " They give no hint as to how low... But I can tell you that this does not always happen at 35...

    Global warming ...

And the resulting global failure gives you no pause? Sure the world will burn, but I did my part, so those other people are to blame. Okey dokey!

    Global warming ...

Hmmmm. Feels like there's a flaw in this plan somewhere, I just can't put my finger on it. Where could it be? ;)

    Global warming ...

Fighting??? Good Lord, no, China leads the world in PRODUCING carbon dioxide emissions. I assumed you understood that. All developing countries are entitled to their industrial development, just like we've had ours, and they will not be deterred. Your 'contribution' will be infinitesimal...

    KeyPass

It is not the case. My google (Nexus 6P) phone is neither an iphone nor a Samsung phone, but has worked with keypass for 5 months now.
