General Motors North America Mark Ruess hinted that Bolt Electric Vehicle deliveries could happen by December 2017, which would be right around the 20th Anniversary of the EV1 launch.

Of course officially there's no word on launch dates, but the 200 mile electric range Bolt EV production version will be unveiled in a matter of days at the Consumer Electronics Show, so maybe an official launch date announcement for the Bolt will come along with the unveiling?

That's a pretty vague hint, but I guess we're thinking since Mark Ruess didn't say it wasn't going to happen it likely will?

That would be pretty cool if they leveraged the 20th anniversary of their EV1 launch and tied the Bolt EV launch with that.

I received an email from Chevy providing links to the unveiling Wednesday. The email also said:

"The all electric 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV will be available late 2016"

So I think that is a pretty clear statement
