Re: The Chevy Bolt Requires Little Maintenance

2017 four years in and zero maintenance and zero trips to the dealer; the underhood is only lightly dusty. The brakes will last forever. We drive for weeks without ever using the friction brakes.

Re: WHEEL SPACERS?

FWIW, the Bolt is a very tight fit around the OEM tire/wheel. There is essentially no extra space for a wider wheel or a taller tire. Suggest before investing any money in spacers and/or custom wheels and/or other than OEM tire size, do a trial fit.

Re: No roof rack for the LT???!!???

I've written and called Chevy about this. Maybe there are more of you out there that share my beef. If so, please let Chevy know you want the cross bar option on the LT. These marketing decisions are constantly remade by management, and if enough of us squawk, maybe they'll do the right thing for t...

Re: What is the fate of the market for 2017-19 Bolt EVs?

Yes, No, Maybe. No one on a public forum has sufficient information to answer your question. There will be WAGs and lunatic fringe opinions and a few well-reasoned discussions, but it's unknowable at this juncture. Get back to us in a year with what you learned.

Re: RECALL

But overall I agree that GM needs to . . . . show the general public they're on our side, My experience over many years is corporations are never, ever "on our side." Short term profits and long-term survival are the only decision points which get serious discussion in high level meetings...

Re: Wheel Spacers

The Bolt front suspension and sheet metal is wrapped so tightly, fitting wider/taller tires and wheels is problematic. My recommendation is don't buy any spacer, wheel or tire for the Bolt unless the seller money-back-guarantees it will fit and not rub anything under any condition.

Re: How do you disengage the cruise control in single pedal L mode?

New owners cruising in L will soon develop the reflex of positioning the the foot on the accelerator pedal so as to avoid the rapid decel when either button or lever is activated.

Some only cruise in D or develop a three step process of shifting to D and then deactivating cruise.

Re: Dear GM: Remember the EV-1

Dear friends at GM,     About your upcoming new products, You are over-shooting.  Do you remember how the EV-1 was loved by its owners?  If you make an updated version, people will flock to it like they did to the VW Bug, which easily outsold every fancy car GM was making at the time.  Think about ...

Re: recall work done on my Bolt without my consent

Currently, U.S. law requires auto manufacturers to alert owners when a vehicle has a recall, so that owners can take their car to a dealership, where the defect will be fixed for free. However, currently there are no laws requiring the owners to actually follow through and have the defect repaired. ...
