I have been through similar crap with my Leaf a few times, minus the towing mishaps. A USB charged jump start battery, left plugged in for 10 minutes or so, will usually charge the 12 volt enough to boot up.

It's okay, she isn't on this forum. But in all seriousness a hockey goalie doesn't travel light. I looked into a TOU in NJ and they add a $10 equipment charge to the bill every month for the meter. There goes all of the potential savings. Is there no additional charge elsewhere?

If the Leaf is any comparison, the packs will not be reverse compatible. Automakers really are just about profit, not about sustainability. They don't make electric cars to be green, they do it for financial reasons.
