Re: Buyback Process

Thanks I will check over there too.

What replacement vehicle will you buy? An EV?

I just can't let go of my Bolt EV without at a minimum a great deal to get an EUV, which of course is not going to happen!

I surveyed the market in mid-2019 and the Bolt EV was still the go-to EV for me!

Re: Really want a Bolt - Tell me about yours

Check out the inexpensive Chinese VHF/UHF dual band Ham radio HTs. For $30-$150 depending on quality, function, and features, you can get back on the air and work through hill-top "repeaters" some of which are internet-linked and have lots of fun talking around your area. And the newer dig...

Re: How Much I Paid for My Bolt

Look at the non-Chevy Dealer used market and if you can find one with a Michigan manufactured battery (like mine 2019), instead of manufactured in South Korea, snap it up!

We were added to the recall in August, but I am not aware of any fires that occurred in a Michigan battery.

Re: Really want a Bolt - Tell me about yours

I am not much of a "performance" driver; not of the Bolt EV at least that is, but... I DO enjoy going up Hiway 14 from Canyon Country to Palmdale in the HOV lane on a beautiful Sunday, where many of the EV drivers like to let it GO! I will admit that with the GM 92 MPH governor installed i...

Re: Buyback Process

How is your buyback going?

What are you going to get to replace it?

I still have faith in my 2019 Bolt EV with a Michigan battery and hope to keep it going for years!

Looks like I may start driving Uber again soon: after ceasing in Feb 2020.

Re: free Sirius XM

While YMMV: I have always found SiriusXM to be a good value: I get continuous reception for my leisurely long drives; Dodger games in FM quality instead of the local AM broadcast; The included for free SiriusXM App on my iPhone and Smart-HDTV; And good alternatives to my AM/FM and Flashstick options...

I look at it as a fluke accident that was easily solved by some time and money!

Re: Fixing a flat tire (sidewall damage)

I did the same thing a few months back and had AAA tow my car to the nearest Chevy dealer and purchased an exact replacement. I was somewhat surprised that they did not claim I needed to purchase a matching pair (Bolt EV purchased in August 2019 and had about 28,000 miles), so the cost of one tire w...

You write a wonderful short story, but it is primarily fiction. First a review of the history of the California electricity market back when this dispute occurred: A company named ENRON, later to have a spectacular bankruptcy, was found to have intentionally manipulated the California energy market ...
