Chevy touts Bolt as an EV for everyone

“With the price and range (of) this vehicle, this vehicle is ultimately a vehicle anyone can drive,” said Kathy Belsic, advertising and marketing manager for Chevrolet electric vehicles. “It’s not just a great electric car, it’s a great car.” Sales of all electric and plug-in electric vehicles in t...

Re: Will there be an AWD version?

Sure - why do just an AWD? They should make an SS version too.

Stiffer suspension, higher power motor, larger wheels, and of course a huge spoiler :)

RE:Will there be an AWD version?

And improved efficiency. The AWD Teslas are more efficient than the RWD systems. They have geared the second motor in such a way that it improves miles/kWh at cruising speeds.

Car and Driver Test Drive at 75mph - 190 miles

Car and Driver recently took the all-electric 2017 Chevrolet Bolt for a spin, and with the climate control set to maintain a temperature of 72 degrees on a warm sunny day, the Bolt EV achieved a range of 190 miles while on cruise control at 75 mph! http://blog.caranddriver.com/wp-content/uploads/201...

RE:LT or Premier Trim Level - what would you choose?

Lane Keep Assist on the Volt actually nudges the car back to the middle if you drift too much.

On the Spark EV, DC Fast Charge was a $750 option - I'd expect the same on all Bolt trim levels.
On that note, the Spark EV also comes with a $500 offer towards a L2 Bosch EVSE

Re: Will the production Bolt look like the concept version?!?

The pics of the White Bolt on San Francisco roads is curious - why would they disguise the headlights and taillights if they've already released the production version? Makes me wonder if they are just trying to confuse people, or if they actually are changing them from the images revealed months ag...

RE:Beat this to death yet? CCS charging network - c'mon GM!

Depends how much supercharger access is for the Model 3 - plus in the next year or 2 aren't there a bunch of companies that have planned to install CCS charge points all over? Can't remember where I read that now...

RE:Forbes: How Chevrolet is conducting final tests on Bolt EV

<t>I really hope my GM dealer and the dealership network does a better job of embracing these than they did with the GM Volt.<br/> <br/> Last time I tried to buy a Volt the dealer spent 30 minutes trying to put me into a Cruze, and then another 15 minutes to try and convince me the ELR was an all-el...

And now Ford is joining the 200 mile EV party

Granted, details are still slim, ok, vauge, or even non-existence, but Ford has confirmed they are preparing a competitor for the Chevy Bolt and Tesla Model 3. Following the Ford Focus Electric update to 100+ mile range, Ford is working on another vehicle. CEO Mark Fields, when asked whether the aut...
