There is already a topic for this. There is no direct way to turn off the audio, believe it or not. IIRC, plugging an empty thumb drive, or possibly even just a USB cable, into the USB port should cause the audio to default to that input, and thus produce silence due to lack of music on the drive.
Low forties generally works fine. These are heavy cars, and the recommended 38psi (36 for the Leaf!) is a bit too low. The tires were probably being deformed enough by bumps to let a little air get passed the sidewalls.
The bad part is those that are uninformed about what they may face with a car that has a bad battery reputation. To make it worse for them, they are unlikely to have even heard about problems with the battery. If they read about it in social media, it will likely be the QC throttling, not the degra...
With GM coming out with several more EVs in the near future, and at least some of them likely based on the Bolt drivetrain, your best hope would be if they come out with larger, better packs for them that can be adapted to fit the Bolt as well.
You live in upstate NY, which has a cold climate. If that was ever true, it no longer is. No more Frigid winters here, and very few mild Summers. I too was able to slow degradation by changing my charging habits, but having to do that means inadequate battery cooling. And the 40kwh pack has less pa...
Filter updated. Anyway, just to make it a little clearer, this really was an agonizing choice for me. What it came down to in the end was that with a Leaf I could get everything I wanted in one car - except cloth seats. The "new" Leaf has very adequate power, handles fine for me, and has a...
The batteries are, as far as I know, completely recyclable and refurbish-able. The "issues" are with how varying regions across the world control this process.
The issue is actually with mining the lithium. It is indeed a very dirty process.
First, I leased it. Second, the Bolt would likely turn to be the "dick move" for me, because of the harsh ride and poor seats. Third, if I do grow to like the Leaf, I'll be able to afford to buy it off lease, unlike the Bolt. Finally, since I have to turn in my $17k residual (plus tax) 201...
First off, sorry to hear that, that is most unfortunate and very frustrating. I am going to venture a slightly different guess. I am going to guess that as the pack is an extremely expensive part, GM has set up a pack rebuild line. Entire affected packs are removed from the car and exchanged for re...
