Re: Driving in low

I always drive in L and on the open highway I find the combination of cruise control and L gives me the best possible battery conservation.

Re: Do not use EVgo fast chargers. No, seriously. Just don't.

While you may be miffed at what happened with EVgo in California... That's the point, nothing happened in California to be miffed at EVgo about and that misinformation and the title of this thread are the continuing misinformation that does a disservice to EV drivers who need EVgo's service. If any...

Re: Do not use EVgo fast chargers. No, seriously. Just don't.

I have to agree with SparkEVPilot. I went back and looked and the sheer volume of negative posts you have made here against EVgo is way over the top for someone who should just not utilize their network if he is unhappy with it and has alternatives. One has to question whether you have pecuniary rea...

Re: Do not use EVgo fast chargers. No, seriously. Just don't.

From the article : " being constructed under the same legal settlement between the State of California and EVgo’s former parent company NRG Energy that accounts for most of the EVgo charging stations in the Golden State. " Yes, one of the (major) reasons why I dislike EVgo - the Californi...

Re: Do not use EVgo fast chargers. No, seriously. Just don't.

Besides my hate towards the previous owner of EVgo (and how the EVgo network was financed in Calif), I considered their subscription plans to be ridiculously expensive and pretty much out of touch with the realities of most EV drivers. Maybe now you'll let MichaelLAX return to this board after you ...

Re: Trip Report: Bakersfield, California to LAX in a Bolt

If you purchase the proper transducer from AAA discounted, you can switch over from Interstate 5 to I-110 and then the express lanes to the express lanes of I-105 to the airport for perhaps a quicker ride. I find these transducers work on the tollroads in Orange County and the Toll Bridges in Northe...

Re: Trip from Santa Cruz to Tuolumne

Thanks for your tips, but I got the flu so for now, the trip is canceled.

I rarely come across those Tesla style units, so I can't justify the cost of a converter for one trip.

Trip from Santa Cruz to Tuolumne

Next week I am going to drive from Santa Cruz to the Black Oak Casino Resort in Tuolumne, CA. I previously did this trip two years ago in my Chevy Volt with of course no problems. Using Plugshare and Google Maps, I see that it is 184 miles but uphill heading into the edge of the Stanislaus National ...

Re: How often to recharge?

I recharge every night.

In Los Angeles I have noticed when the weather is "cold" here the GOM after a recharge is about 199 but when the recent Santa Ana heat wave returned, it went back to 225 to 238.

Re: Is the rear view camera usable at night?

I am in "camera" mode 98% of the time.

I sometimes switch to "mirror" mode when the rains obscure the camera.
