GM has already said that the Bolt electric vehicle will replace the Spark EV when it comes out.... recently, Chevrolet announced the Spark EV would go on sale in the 3 provinces of Canada that offer EV incentives: British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec.

The Spark EV is also notable for being one of the very few low-volume battery-electric vehicles to offer DC quick charging as well as conventional 240-Volt charging.

GM Canada did not say exactly when the 2016 Spark EV would be offered to retail buyers in the three provinces. It noted that the car's price "will be available at a later time."

Still, the availability of the Spark EV to retail buyers is good news for Canadian electric-car fans and advocates in its three most electric-car-friendly provinces.

Quebec has an aggressive plan to boost sales of plug-in cars in the province, with purchase rebates and other incentives as carrots--and a few sticks too.

Next January, buyers of vehicles with large-displacement internal-combustion vehicles will pay an additional premium on top of the normal registration fee.

While a new 2016 Chevrolet Spark was launched at the New York Auto Show two weeks ago, the electric Spark will continue for at least one more year in the previous-generation vehicle.

It will be replaced by a production version of the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt concept car shown at January's Detroit Auto Show.

GM CEO Mary Barra said while introducing the Bolt Concept that the production model would have a range rating of 200 miles, and a price before incentives of $37,500.

That's great for Canadians. Any ideas if it's being released in Asia? If you find the information can you please post it on Chevrolet Bolt EV forum?

Yeah. Have they announced the price as well?
All we know is that it will be under $30,000 in the US after the Federal Tax Credit.
Will it be the same in Canada?
Well there's no Federal rebate, so the "real" US price is $37,500. And then you'd have to add the exchange rate to that, or whatever GM feels is an appropriate price differential. That will probably bring it to the upper $40,000s, similar to the fully loaded Volts.
