One of the forum members at another Bolt forum has been posting YouTube videos over the last three days or so. Pretty interesting.

There is very little content in these videos - mostly just rambling and opinion, and very little about the actual car. He writes much more on-point than he speaks, and he speaks slowly. I'd suggest reading his blog instead.

Very few reviews tell me things I care about...they generally focus on styling and features.

I want someone like Car and Driver to take the car around town and on a trips from, for example, Los Angeles to San Francisco, then to Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, and back. Let's see the real range vs speed and road conditions. And simultaneously take a Honda Fit, a Chevy Sonic, something superficially similar and see how the really compare

I'd also like the car taken out on a race track, see how it handles, brakes, and holds up in general. You may recall the C and D took a Tesla S on the track and within a very short time it fell back into low power mode due to overheating. Let's see how the Bolt stacks up when driven seriously. I can try out the seats myself, need someone else to put the thing through its paces.

Oh...and how about taking an I3 with range extender along too. Two 200 mile class cars using different approaches (big battery vs range extender). That would be something to read about.

Oh Oh OH!....Also take a model S!! See how much advantage the vaunted supercharging capability and network actually provide compared to overnight charging and enroute SAE DCFC capability.

Road trip, anyone?

I was very interested in the storage space. The video makes me a lot more confident that the Bolt might work out for me.

The light weight door was something new to me, and the tire issue is now something I'm aware of now too.
