The charge door ajar alert was chiming regularly on a trip two days ago - even though door was closed, even when car was off, even when we returned home and it was plugged into the JuiceBox. When I checked on it this morning, the car was completely dead.
Hoping that maybe the chime killed the 12v battery - but don't want to trickle charge it without checking to make sure I won't damage it. Of course, still have to deal with the false alert issue. Does anyone else have experience with this issue? Should I have it towed to a dealer? It is no longer under warranty.

A bad or "low" 12V causes the electronics to do weird things. I'd charge up the 12V (or replace it) and see if the chime went away.
