Heh. The "bleeding edge" for charging infrastructure was when you had to surreptitiously use 120 volt ice machine outlets, because no gas station would ever give permission. I remember paying a poor couple $5 to charge my electric scooter at their yard sale for 45 minutes. I also bought a few things.
Now my Vectrix electric maxiscooter carries a J-1772 adapter, because charging stations are much more common these than available 120 volt outlets.
