Best range and efficiency - what are you getting?

During cold weather I'm typically around 3.7 mi/kWH. Without climate settings I have seen it as high as 4.2 mi/kWH This is just according to the DIC screen in the car

Interesting article "Woman changing how and what we drive"

The idea is that GM CEO Mary Barra says the industry is undergoing more significant change in the next 10 years than the previous 50 years, and electric vehicles will help that change: Full article here: http://www.autonet.ca/en/2015/03/13/woman-changing-how-and-what-we-drive

GM cutting warranties from 100,000 miles to 60,000 miles

In a recent article on Detroit News, GM is cutting powertrain warranties from 100,000 miles to 60,000 miles starting with 2016 models. Will this affect the Chevy Bolt warranty? Definitely the powertrain warranty, but I wonder if GM will now offer a lower battery pack warranty too? Full...

I'd buy a Chevy Bolt EV

Back during the first press days of the North American Auto Show (Detroit), I got very interested in the Bolt EV concept. I used to own a 2012 Volt, now I drive a 2015 Volt and am definitely sold on electric vehicles. I decided to fly to Chicago to see the Bolt in person. If GM goes ahead with...

    Next-gen battery tech for 2017-2018

GM is another company now that seems to think next generation battery tech will be available for this range/price-point around 2017 or 2018. I wonder if it will be lithium-sulfur battery, or Tesla's economies of scale that will get us there? Or I guess improved electroc/nano-tech properties...
