Sadness - fender bender in Bolt EV

Interestingly enough he says he was comfortable in the seats too:

GM says 2017 Bolt will be limited availability.... perhaps West coast only this year?

I still don't get why they went with such a low first-year production number. I am still assuming this was a low estimate and they will surprise with a much higher number of Bolts actually being produced, especially as sales start to take off. With the high number of Model 3 reservations, I...

Another positive review, this time from Kelley Blue Book

I don't think GM will ever be forgiven for the debacle of the EV-1 it was handled with error and was decades ahead of its time. The Bolt EV should be reliable. GM has experience building millions of vehicles, compare that to the reports coming out about the Model S and Model X!

    Production Bolt trunk space pics

There is a privacy screen that attaches to the back of the rear seats, and to the hatch. It can be removed for more space. If unhooked from the hatch, it hangs straight down so tall objects can be stowed. The false floor has 3 positions: 1. It can be positioned flat so that the...

    How does it handle?

The rear suspension I think is classified as independent. It uses a torque arm with struts, it just doesn't have double wishbone. Bolt should ride pretty good with it's high weight and strong springs.

Chevy's rollout and availability plan for the Bolt - CARB first or nationwide?

The Volt 2.0 is finally starting to show up at some of my local dealerships but haven't seen any on the road. I am curious to see if Chevy will list Texas as a first/second/third wave release state for the Bolt EV. Maybe the Bolt will be closer to Model 3 availability - that would really hamper...

Will the production Bolt look like the concept version?!?

I would assume that they are just going to poll the employee on reliability, driving experience, not on the at-home charging experience but I could be wrong.

Charging procedure of Chevy Bolt EV

I totally get the frustration of a BEV pulling up and not having a plug-in spot because of a PHEV. However, thanks for the great point SmartElectric! Part of the scarcity of charging points is because the general public (including store and commercial property owners) don't think they're...

Chevy Bolt vs Tesla Model S60 (new pricing)

Slightly perhaps, but isn't it still $65,000 or something? That's twice as much as the Bolt will be... I think the S60 will appeal to a fairly small demographic. I don't know that anyone is interested in the Bolt EV purely because it's such a compelling and beautiful sports car vehicle (like...

Tesla Model 3 vs Chevrolet Bolt EV

Tesla Model 3 will get help from the Gigafactory when it starts producing batteries in 2016 from partial module buildouts. Model X is a separate issue on top of that. Chevrolet is aiming the Bolt at the BMW i3 which sold 12,000 or so units last year. After the Volt, there will still be enough...

    "Not a compliance car"

Good point(s). I agree it makes sense from a vehicle manufacturing perspective, but most of the bitterness comes from the seeming lack of commitment, as well as bitterness from EV enthusiasts in other states
