Has anyone figured out how to deactivate the alarm system? I absolutely hate car alarms. i find them absolutely unnecessary and by my experience they accidentally go off far too much. Being able to lock the car without an alarm fits my needs completely.

maybe you misunderstood me. i removed all the wood and replaced it with rigid foam. the foam is softer than all things/surfaces contacting it.

i don't notice any improvement in that regard.

I wouldn't know how to answer that. All i can say is the over all feel of the car and especially the steering is improved. The turn in, in particular is crisper and smoother.

I have a Juicebox that i intend to use as a portable EVSE while on long trips, if need be. I fabricated a hanging/locking system. the unit can now be hung on a horizontal bar, or vertical bar and can be locked. A resourceful thief could remove it, but they will have there work cut out for them...
