    Really Flaky USB connection

Next thing i will try out is a powered usb hub. I hear that often times the power output from these is questionable. Maybe if i take power out of the equation it will help with the connectivity. Though i cant imagine a flash drive takes much power, especially a usb 2.0.

    Really Flaky USB connection

I am fine with not charging the phone fast. I have a 12v adapter for that. I am mostly annoyed that my usb drive doesn't get recognized constantly by the car. I even have times where its playing a song off it and it suddenly stops and doesnt recognize it suddenly.

    Really Flaky USB connection

There are 4 ports? I have only found 2 and they are in the center console and both suck. Is it only on the premier trim there are more ports?

    Really Flaky USB connection

I have a USB drive that i store a lot of my music on. It works fine on virtually everything i plug it into to listen to this music, which includes past cars like my 2010 honda insight. Connecting it into my bolt however is really hit or miss and mostly miss. Is there an update to the usb...

    Bolt convenience question

Except for me apparently. The onstar on my car was turned off or unsubscribed when i bought it and now they want like 24$ a month for the most basic of service. Having that for cellular remote pre start and such would be cool, but hardly worth the 200+$ a year.

Off grid charging my 2020 Bolt

Pretty cool to see someone else that uses veggie oil for fuel. I did that for a while years ago when i had a 01 vw jetta tdi.

Should i be concerned with battery degradation?

I recently bought a tpms reset tool. It seems like the shops near me dont get that when the tires are rotated that they need to reset the tpms locations. 2 different places tried figuring out my slow leak in a tire, neither one reset the locations. I think i will see if the shop near me can do...

Should i be concerned with battery degradation?

It will be in the late spring or summer. Depends a lot on if I can get the family vaccinated and if the park opens back up. On plug share I have seen a few people post that great wolf allows guests to plug in but it's just a wall outlet. It looks like there are a few charging stations along the...

Should i be concerned with battery degradation?

Thank you guys for the input. I had hoped the range to be a bit more honestly but it sounds like the car is doing pretty good for winter conditions and such. Thankfully my commute to work is actually the longest drive I typically do and there is plenty of range for that. The family vacation...

Should i be concerned with battery degradation?

So I assume this sort of range under these conditions is normal. I had hoped it would still be closer to 200 miles for range. But from what I understand this software fix for the battery is temporary so I guess that might change things at some point.

Should i be concerned with battery degradation?

Todays round trip to work was 45.3 miles and 14.1 kwh used which includes creature comforts. One of the graphs shows almost 4 miles per kw the efficiency score i am seeing is -8 biggest hits are on climate settings and outside temp. Honestly as much as i want to be efficient i like being comfy...

Should i be concerned with battery degradation?

So, I recently bought a 2017 chevy bolt. I forget the miles but its under 30k miles. So i figured it would be gently used being a one owner car and such. I somewhat assumed the original owner got the recall notice and decided to bail ( since the recall was not corrected when i bought it ). I...

    stock charger says 120V

For my bolt i installed a nema 6-20 outlet, but i ran 10-2 wire ( which can handle 30 amps ) I have a level 2 charger i bought from amazon for 170$ I don't drive a whole lot, maybe 70 miles in a day. The 240 charger at 16 amps recharges about 11 miles in a hour, or 88 miles in 8 hours. Easily...

    Bolt convenience question

With my 2017 bolt I have started using the mychevy app a bit. I like the remote start function, but honestly find the range or lack of range to be very limiting. I have wifi that the bolt is connected to. However it seems the mychevy app does not utilize wifi for the key fob functions. I assume...

New to the Bolt wifi - software questions

Thank you that is good to know. My garage has a small breaker panel with 3 circuits. I haven't verified them but I suspect 1 is for the garage door one for the lights and one for the outlets. Nothing in the garage is what I would call a high draw device. Heck nothing stays plugged in all the...

New to the Bolt wifi - software questions

Yes, i found that setting. I am not really sure what my outlet in the garage is rated for current wise. Its gfci protected and the whole garage was built and wired in the late 90's so i suspect its capable of 12amps but i would rather not test such things and find out i am wrong. I found some...

New to the Bolt wifi - software questions

Ok, i got it figured out the keypass thing was not what i would call intuitive, and the wifi range of the bolt is terrible. My cell phone can use wifi all over the yard and almost into the neighbors driveway, the bolt cant pick up my wifi 60 feet from the AP with a wall between it. I set up a...

New to the Bolt wifi - software questions

I just bought a used 2017 bolt lt. So far i am loving this car. Charging takes forever but i only have the level 1 charger right now. I figure i have a lot of down time right now to charge it up anyway. I have been trying and failing at trying to connect with keypass in the mychevy app, it gets...
