    Don't Look at the Screen

Is anyone else getting this screen. It is the 4th time it has come up up and you have to acknowledge it or it won't go away. I am assuming there are lawyers and a lawsuit somehow involved but this is getting annoying.

    Solar Home Battery Storage Systems

Been looking at the Solar Home Battery Storage systems on the market to get off the grid. Got a sales pitch about the Tesla Powerwall 2. Has anyone actually installed/going to install one of these in their home? Do you need 60Kwh of battery storage to charge a Bolt or is the Bolt helping power...

    2017 IRS Form 8936

Bought a Bolt in 2017. Tried to do my taxes on Turbotax. It says my taxes can not be filed because the IRS has not gotten final approval for IRS Form 8936 (EV Tax Credit) for 2017. Has anyone else had this issue or is it Turbotax related?

    Federal EV Tax Credit

I purchased my Bolt in the 2017 tax year. I was not sure due to the unknowns at the time of the new tax laws (early versions eliminated the EV Tax Credit) that would be in place for 2018 if I was doing the right thing or not. I bought because they had the model with the options I wanted...

Metallic Grinding Sound at Low Speed

Been a Bolt owner for a week and am still learning the car. Took a while to figure out the radio needs to be muted with the volume turned down rather than turned off???? My current question is that I have a metallic grinding noise (like a brake issue) when the car is at low speed. It goes away...

How does the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit Work

I would like to buy a new Chevy Bolt rather than lease. One of the things holding me back is how the federal tax credit works. It seems simple, like asking how to bake a pie, but depending on who you ask you get a different response. I have heard you get the full amount, and heard you may only...

    Used EV Battery Testing

Battery life on EV's can be variable due to how they are treated. I was offered a good deal on a pre owned Volt but I would like to check the condition of the battery pack. Does anyone know if there is a way to test a used EV's battery capacity? Looking for a more accurate reading than the bars...

    New GM EV's

GM has announced 2 new EV's for 2019. Does anybody know any specifics about what is coming?

    EV Infrastructure after Natural Disaster

After the last 2 hurricanes hit the U.S. I heard about fuel shortages for ICE cars and long waits at gas stations if they had any gas at all. This also affected people trying to evacuate because there was concern of gas stations along the way having any fuel. I was wondering what it would be...

    Battery Depletion before Recharging

Being new to this forum I am not sure if you have discussed this yet. If you have could you tell me where. Is it better for longer battery life to recharge the battery when it has used most of it's energy or should you keep it topped up? I have an 80 mile EV and can't wait to have extended...
