    Camera rear view mirror

Each to his own. This is a hatchback and quite likely it will get loaded up with stuff from time to time. Be nice to be able to see "through" the boxes and whatever that is obscuring the view.

GM not planning to fund CCS fast chargers

Do lease returns go back to the dealer? Doesn't GMAC or who ever does the lease own the vehicle?

GM not planning to fund CCS fast chargers

I know someone who use to work for EVGo. He had a really really hard time getting hosts to adopt a DCFC on their property The idea one needs to find a host is the source of the haphazard choices made. There is little planning as a result. Gas stations don't find 'hosts' they find property they...

GM not planning to fund CCS fast chargers

Not all Nissan dealers have a DCFC unit, but the ones that do utilize them to be sure a new LEAF customer drives off with a full charge. Nissan made that a requirement the dealers have to follow. The convenience factor to a dealer selling reasonable quantities of LEAFs is a big deal to them.

    Lease pricing rumors?

What lease calculator do you use? I may well lease a Bolt rather than buy and need to do my homework, I will have never leased before and a dealer may take advantage of my ignorance.

Will a Bolt get you off gas completely?

I see the Bolt as part of a gas free existence. I hope to combine the Bolt with a Model 3. Step one is to replace my worn out LEAF with the Bolt. Step two is to get the Model 3 and ditch the Altima. Then we will be gas free with the exception of the riding mower and trimmer. It's a bummer...

I suggest sticking with Clipper Creek. They are based in the US, have a good reputation in the EV community for a solid product and very good customer service. No need to understand pidgin english to read the instructions or get tech support :-)

    Drive mode options

The Smart ED has regen paddles. Outlander PHEV has regen paddles too. Mercedes B class sports paddle shifters. VW have used paddles on some of their prototypes. Golf Blue_E was one.

    Camera rear view mirror

The LEAF rear camera is only active if you are reversing, so I still need the rear view mirror when I'm driving. Look forward to the Bolt's clear electronic image in the rear view mirror. I have removed the rear headrests to give me better visibility, won't need to do that with the Bolt!!

GM not planning to fund CCS fast chargers

OK So I'm the consumer that wants to hook up to the SC network. Elon sends me an invitation via email to start using his SC network. Now my car (whatever EV I own) has to be able to charge at say 100kW charge rate. Where do I take my LEAF or Bolt etc to have it modified to take that charge rate...

    Drive mode options

I'm looking forward to using paddles to adjust regen on the fly. Settings are fine, I agree we need them, but changing settings on the fly isn't easy to do, the paddles are that adjustment. I saw a test drive on YouTube to demo one pedal driving in the Bolt. Once the car was going slowly but...

Why select R in order to get to neutral? Simply pull the puck towards you and hold for about 1 sec in a central position and the car shifts into neutral. It can also be done below 7mph which is handy for coasting downhill in nose to tail traffic at very slow speeds.

    Drive mode options

A hypermiler can get better efficiency compared to cruise, but then again a hypermiler will probably never use one pedal driving either. Hypermilers are welcome to their art form, I'm not one of them. Each to his own. I use a combination of Waze and LEAFSpy pro in my LEAF. I compare the...

GM not planning to fund CCS fast chargers

That is a good article. Hopefully the authors warning about building infrastructure without a way to maintain it later (e.g. Blink) will be heeded by those responsible for disbursing the funds. One point the article highlights I didn't know before now is that California is destined to get 40%...

    Drive mode options

On a longer drive I'd use cruise control. I find with a car with the ability to regen, cruise control can be more useful than is the case with gasoline vehicles. Using just the controls on the steering wheel I can gently accelerate if need be by choosing "Accel" or slow down using "Coast". The...

Bolt platform choice too small - agree or not?

I don't know what the suspension system will be in the Model III, if it is air suspension in theory the car could be set on high for passenger embarking/disembarking and lower during driving. The Bolt I'm sure will be a traditional suspension system. What you see is what you get.

eVgo have the Flex subscription which has no monthly fee. That's what I use. I agree ChargePoint are probably the best charging network and by quite a wide margin. They just don't have many units where I live/drive. Nashville had the early benefit of the Bink network, which has slowly turned...

    Camera rear view mirror

Backup cameras are awesome. I hate it when I drive a car without one now. Reversing into a parking space is so stress free with a backup camera and you stop a consistent distance from the object behind every time.

GM not planning to fund CCS fast chargers

I see it the other way around. Ceeding the control of maintaining the charging network is itself a huge liability. What if the charging network goes bust? It's happened to Blink already. Car Charging Group are really struggling to maintain the old blink network. Tesla on the other hand can...

    Drive mode options

A car with different modes is important such that drivers can choose the level of regen they like and prefer. I'd like much more regen than I get with my LEAF, so I look forward to a new EV with more regen options. From my perspective, one pedal driving with heavy regen is what you need around...
