Thank goodness Volkswagen got caught. Can you imagine how long it would have been before the first Coast to Coast trip in a non-Tesla would happen.

    This car is amazing!

Do you have a dryer outlet near your garage? May be worth a shot but as others have suggested, with your usage, 110v should be plenty. I also question how valuable your workplace charging would be since you claim to gain range getting there. You would be charging from 90% - 95% when leaving your...

Why can't I lease a bolt in Georgia for under $550 a month?

Most likely it's a combination of a potentially low residual (think Leaf) since it's still not on par with an ICE and they purportedly loose money on each one along with Georgia not recognizing CARB credits. It's a triple whammy, trifecta of "no incentive to lease".

For those looking for a dashcam, there's a group buy portal over on the Model 3 Owners Club they just opened up. https://model3ownersclub.com/threads/group-buy-blackvue-thinkware-dashcam-gauging-interest.4517/page-8#post-43153 Once they get 75 orders, they start shipping.

Consumer Report Bolt out distances Tesla

Well it looks as though Tesla may have overdelivered with the Model 3 too. And here's both Highway and City range with the Model 3 and Chevy Bolt: Highway Model 3: 89.4 kWh, 454.6 miles Chevy Bolt: 66.5 kWh, 310.6 miles UDDS Model 3: 89.4 kWh, 495.1 miles Chevy Bolt: 67.4 kWh, 364.4 miles...

Tesla Model 3 - Specs released

Well considering that Tesla won't pass the 200k US registered cars till sometime in 2018, they have over a year to get them in the hands of the customers and still qualify. Some have speculated at 10k/week, all of the current reservations could get something. But let's say your guess is correct...

Consumer Report Bolt out distances Tesla

You make a valid point and it does remain to be seen if the Model 3 can deliver the range promised. Without knowing the size of the battery, we can only speculate. I am very surprised and impressed though with how well the Bolt performed especially given these were highway speeds.

Consumer Report Bolt out distances Tesla

For the first in line for the Model 3 on the west coast and existing owners, they will be allowed to configure the $35k model 3 for December delivery. I am east coast, not owner, reserved before reveal on line and have available delivery March-May 2018 for standard battery. I also reserved one...

Consumer Report Bolt out distances Tesla

Could you be more specific? Are you referencing the Model 3? Musk promised a 215 mile EV, check, well appointed for $35k, check, available by end of 2017, check.

Tesla Model 3 - Specs released

I never made the claim to how many reservations were being cancelled, you did. He who makes the positive claim has the burden of proof. You're entitled to you own opinion but not your own facts. I didn't doubt your Tesla inventory number, in fact, I accepted it as true. It wasn't an...

Tesla Model 3 - Specs released

Define "lots" of refundable reservations. 40?, 400?, 4,000? Let's go with 4k, so 1%? No doubt, all reservations will not turn into orders but you really have no idea what that number really is. It's purely speculation on your part and to what end? I also made a mistake on my earlier post in...

Tesla Model 3 - Specs released

What's your source to the widely reported costs of the Model 3? I've not heard that. If anything, I've heard that they expect a 15% GPM on the base model 3 and 20+% with upgrades. Of course it's too soon to have any real numbers but the analysts that study these things for a living are expecting...

Tesla Model 3 - Specs released

No they haven't sold over the 200k limit. They are about 70k short and based on the ramp up, should reach the 200k US registered Teslas about spring 2018. That would mean they have until fall 2018 to deliver as many as possible to get the full $7,500 and then it drops in half for 6 months and...

Yet Another Comparison: Bolt vs BMW i3 vs Tesla Model s

I have actually, the reason typically given is the lack of range. These of course were for 1st gen EV's. That argument will be harder to sell now that the Bolt and Model 3 have arrived and the Leaf 2 right behind. I think you will still get some whining though about the charging time for out of...

    Bolt is "Automotive Masterpiece"

Wow, that is a bold statement. Have you ever driven a Z06? The complexity of the powertrain makes an EV look like a wind up toy. What specifically makes the Bolt the "best Chevy/GM" ever?

The Official Bolt Performance Thread (TOBPT)

I was talking with a Spark owner at last years Drive EV event and he mentioned the 400+ #/' of torque. I was a bit skeptical which he was accustomed to at which point he pulled out the sales literature and sure enough. That must be a blast but difficult to keep traction if it's anything like my...

Ioniq vs Bolt: 124 miles or $9,280?

Au Contraire, not only does the OP specifically ask the question as it applies to MSRP, he also screen grabs both the Ionic and the Bolt's window sticker. As to Sparkyps comment of comparing lease prices, I specifically stated " Unless there is some undisclosed or unique variable such as...

Ioniq vs Bolt: 124 miles or $9,280?

Now you're just being obtuse. The $9,280 was comparing purchase price not lease pricing. I would expect the lease pricing would be appropriately similar in percentage of reduced cost since they both start with a purchase price and an estimate of depreciation. Unless there is some undisclosed or...

CCS chargers now at Bolt EV (Chevrolet) dealerships!!!

Please explain to us how a non-functioning EVSE still in a box in the corner of a shop is of any benefit to the Bolt driver? See if you can answer that without getting pissed off because we truly don't see the logic in that. People on the east coast certainly need DCFC anywhere we can find them...

Unfortunately Bolt is still a compliance car from GM

Only someone with their head in the sand would deny the bolt is a compliance car but so what. It's a great car for what it was designed to do. For a lot of people it's exactly what they were looking for so all you bolt owners can thank those Silverado owners for subsidizing your Bolt. And those...
