Conditions not correct to shift

Received this error on my 2018 Bolt display last week. I was dead in the water for 10 minutes or so (stopped at a red light!). Then it went away and all was good again. Seems that it is not uncommon (from looking at other forums) , but no one seems to know why it happens or how to prevent it.

Received this error on my 2018 Bolt display last week. I was dead in the water for 10 minutes or so (stopped at a red light!). Then it went away and all was good again. Seems that it is not uncommon (from looking at other forums) , but no one seems to know why it happens or how to prevent it.

I called Chevy Corporate and talked to an EV specialist. I was told that they have no information about the error msg. I was told to take the car to the dealer. The EV technician at the dealer was too busy to talk to me about the problem. They did offer to check out my car (for $90), but since other forums reported that when the dealer checked out the car for this issue, no issues were found, I declined their offer.
