Thank you for the report, much appreciated!
If you don't mind, how much did it cost to charge at the Victorville? And was it through Chargepoint, or another vendor? As for charging at the hotels, was it free?
I don't need or want the extra cord. This car is already on the lot, in the color I want. I agree that 10,000 miles is low, but I have the Spark EV and Volt to spread around all the EV miles, not to mention 2 other ICE cars in the household.
The concern with a Tesla, is the poor build quality, and hugely overwhelmed service centers to fix said quality issues. And the months long backlog to get parts for your car due to Tesla monopoly. And that's just for the S and X, the 3 will make it much worse. Model S and X buyers are mostly...
Exactly! The wide availability of Chevrolet dealerships is a big plus in selling, and servicing the Bolt EV. The direct sales model of Tesla is over hyped, their QC is mediocre. Cars costing that much shouldn't have that many issues, and the whole delivery experience should be top notch.
This is funny. I'm pretty sure you're talking about Tesla. The name Tesla and the phrase "doesn't need frequent service" certainly don't go together. There are a fair number of MS and MX owners who have had to go to the service centers, repeatedly. Initial QC is not that good. My 2013 Volt...
Very happy news indeed! Can't wait to get mine.
Tesla will need to address the following issues if they hope to survive: quality control, on time delivery, long wait to get service, and
monopolizing the repair business.
