    Buying in Ontario (from Quebec)

Just came across this comment on a blog post: From here: http://chevroletbolt.myevblog.com/chevy-bolt-blog/ SO - if you're in Ontario and can't get your hands on a Bolt, maybe you should consider taking a trip to Quebec :)

    Bike racks

Are we talking about the hitch, or the hitch mounted bike rack? The original question asked if the hitch was easy to remove - but I assume the answers talk about the hitch-mounted bike racks being removed! The hitch bolts on underneath the car and isn't conducive to easy install/removal where...

2017 Opel Ampera-e likely limited to Norway

From InsideEVs: We’ve now heard rumors that only few hundred Ampera-es will be delivered this year, and the balance of current reservations (several thousand) will need to wait into 2018. It’s not clear why Norway (and in general Europe) would need to wait so long, as there is no such...

    Hitch receiver for bike rack?

Both of those racks require "minor trimming of rear fascia" On a lease car, not sure how much of a concern that is. It would likely be on the bottom part (the curved part at the bottom headed towards the front of the car) so that it will clear the down brackets for the receiver. On a lease...

    Hitch receiver for bike rack?

Check EV Wiki for different options: http://www.electricvehiclewiki.com/Chevy_Bolt_Trailer_Hitch The receiver listed on Chevrolet.com as an accessory is only rated for accessories, not for towing. The one on the Wiki website looks different (sticks down further) and is rated for a 2000 lb...

Opel CEO says the AMPERAe coming to Norway in May

At least a month ahead of the scheduled June date for Norway, Opel CEO says the Ampera-e is coming in May: Apparently the launch date has been moving up due to 'overwhelming demand' but of course the nay-sayers think it's because of lack of Bolt EV demand in the USA :p After Norway comes...

Flat Tire after one week--Car has to be towed

I would be very interested to know what sort of hole is in the tire? Is it simply a nail hole (that the self sealing goop is supposed to prevent) or was it something larger, or a sidewall tear/puncture? If it's a simple nail hole, then I need to get a tire sealing kit since the self sealing...

Anyone else played video on their infotainment screen?

The owner's manual says this: "The USB storage device can only be recognized when it is formatted in FAT16/32, NTFS, HFS+. exFAT and other file systems cannot be recognized." And this: "Only the following file extensions are supported: *.jpg, *.bmp, *.png, *.gif. Animated GIF is not supported...

    Back seats down, diagonal measurement

You mean this one? Yep, it's a Thule, and apparently a 9'6" surfboard will fit (although it's not as 'thick' as a kayak) From here: http://www.surfer.com/blogs/surfer-approved/2017-chevy-bolt/

    Back seats down, diagonal measurement

Won't know for sure until you try it, but here's my best guess: The Chevy Bolt wheelbase is 102 inches (approx. 8.5 feet). I use wheelbase because its the only good dimension Chevy gives us, and the front footwell is behind the center of the wheel by about the same amount as the hatch is behind...

The Bolt has at least 10% unused battery capacity?

It would be nice to get some numbers from GM - the only thing we've ever heard from them is 60kWh, and I don't recall GM ever stating if that was usable or total capacity.

Road trip to Joshua Tree - 512 miles driven this weekend

Thanks so much for sharing - to be honest, the charging while out and about is one of my biggest concerns while I wait for my Bolt. However, most of my driving will be to and from my home base where I'll have a level 2 EVSE and can charge overnight so it won't often affect me.
