ClipperCreek HCS-40 for me. No bells or whistles made in the USA with great customer service from a reputable company. I don't need a charger with wireless access or trying to phone home. I have used it previously with my Leaf and now with my Bolt - love it - it just works.

I have this on my dashboard as well. Cars that where reported to have a voltage cell had the battery replaced. Is this no longer the case? Or is this a software update just to detect it and not let the car die on the side of the road? Not clear from the description but it implies it will...

No offense, but the sign is pretty useless unless you know the charger type. FastCharge to a Leaf is different for a Bolt, which is different for a Tesla.

Yes - that was exactly my point. The difference between lifting off the accelerator and mashing the brake in L mode is what I think helped make the car stop just that little bit quicker and in an emergency stop situation every millisecond counts.

You can always set the "hill top mode" that only charges to I think 80% and keep it plugged in. But as long as the 12v system is happy - the car should be ok - just don't keep the battery at extremes (100% or 10%) for a long period. Not sure if the car automatically "tops" off the 12v battery...

My Bolt has this issue now as well. Edit: Appointments are backed up two weeks - so have to wait to get it into the dealer.

I suspect they don't know themselves yet either and would rather replace the entire unit so they can get the car functional again and then take the unit back to figure out what went wrong. Kudos to GM for doing the right thing and replacing the unit.

You have waited this long what's a little longer? If you can wait - things can only get better from a price perspective. More cars on dealer lots mean better incentives. It would be a heck of deal to get me to move on it especially if it was their fault.

I think OnStar can read the codes from the car. You can call them from the car and ask.

If you sit in the seats and they are the least bit uncomfortable - make sure the dealer hears it. Not just the salesman - the service manager or the sales manager. Make a point to let them know. A lot of people come to the lot - don't like the seats and walk away. The more GM hears the seats...
