I bought a single CD player, battery operated, and plugged it in the aux. port, and much to my surprise, it played on my Bolt's speakers without any fussing necessary. I was elated, as nothing is especially easy about the Bolt, other than one pedal driving.

Has anyone tried to use a CD player by plugging into the "aux" port in front of the shifter? The manual suggests you can.

When I got my Bolt December 30, 2016, I checked on Soutrhern California Edison's website and there was no rebate for electric cars. Now there is: $450 -- I signed up on line. Every little helps to get the cost down: -$7,500; -$2,500 and now - $450.

It took me four months to discover this. I reported in numerous surveys that the latch failed after one week. I was going to take it apart, but decided against it. Was waiting for the forest 7,500 mile service (tire rotation). Manual silent on the latch only working when console fully back.

Problem solved. I stopped on a slight grade downhill in L. I was creeping very slowly when the parking brake light when on. Then I started driving and it went off. Manual silent on this.

Thanks for the information on the defroster light: I went to the settings and saw it was on "automatic defroster", so I left it alone. I checked the index of the manual under defog and heat and there was nothing. I have griped about the manual elsewhere. I am learning about my Bolt on this...

I find the owners' manual terrible. For example, it didn't explain how I could program my Bolt to charge 9pm to noon so as to take advantage of my time of use electric meter rates. Also, the parking brake functions were not explained. I have called Chevrolet two or three times to get answers...

I had my green stickers in the glove box of my black Volt for the three years I drove the car. Green on black looked ugly to be on other black Volts. My Bolt is silver; any one out there with a sliver Bolt with the white stickers on?

Aha! Yesterday, when I stopped I felt the emergency brake engage and saw the light go on. Are you saying if I continue to drive with the light on, the emergency brake will disengage?
