The juilcebox 40A is more than is neeed for the Bolt BUT down the road.. your next car could use greater than that.

I see JET has it for 519 which is cheaper than the manufacturers website and there is 15% off someones first order which
makes it 441. IMO .. the amperage and features on this baby its a STEAL. Also your tesla friends can use this :--)
I wish I ordered this before I ordered my 32 amp one :-(

this is a good deal, however Jet states that with the %15 discount, a max amount of $20 can be deducted.

At one point I considered installing a Clipper Creek CS-80 for "future proofing" but realized it didn't make sense, worry about it if an when 6 kW became inadequate. I stayed with my Aerovironment 6 kW unit.

And I think the difference between 30 and 40 A is not enough to get excited about unless you already have one of the few 40 A capable cars now available.

I think a bigger "future proof" issue will become families with multiple plug in cars. Looks like Clipper Creek offers systems which share a single circuit between two cars. I'd go in this direction if you are worried about future proofing.
