Bolt does not like open WIFI networks

Just noticed that my Bolt will not connect to a WIFI network which does not have a password. I know this is good for security reasons, but I have a guest WIFI network on my router which is open and I was trying to get the Bolt to connect to this to avoid having to type my mile-long password on the center console.

I have not tried that because, well, open networks are just not my thing. I know too much.

However, I did discover that the Bolt, like many 'dumb' Wi-Fi clients (like printers), will not connect to a network with wired Wi-Fi extenders (multiple APs). I disconnected my extender and the Bolt jumped right on the network. Before that, it would not even list the network.
