Massey in RI is also very supportive. They have specially trained EV salespeople who will make an appointment to show you the Bolt and Volt. My local dealer, Valenti, seems excited about the pending arrival.

Anybody in CT should be aware that if you buy out of state, you lose the $3,000 state incentive. At least that's what the state EV incentive page says...

Anybody living in RI - Paul Massey lists 95 !!! Bolts in their inventory.

Alas, I cannot buy from them as a CT resident, because CT won't give me a CT EV incentive for an EV bought out of state. And RI won't give me an RI incentive because I'm not a state resident.

I live in Salem, MA. I contacted several area dealers looking for a price quote on a Bolt. I bought my Bolt from Lannam Chevrolet in Woburn, MA. They had the best price, and a well-trained EV specialist. I'd highly recommend them!

I'm also interested in meeting any other Bolt owners in the area. Message me if you're interested!

Hi, just bought a Bolt last Saturday from Quirk. What a great little car, first EV, fun to drive.....can't pry it out of the wife's hands.......

Just got my Bolt last week from cargill Chevrolet in putnam Ct
They had 4 on the lot as well as 5 Volts
Sales guy indicated that they have sold more volts than any dealer in the area
Two EV certified techs
Loving the car so far
Working out how I can charge it with my off grid solar excess energy while maintaining the charge on my solar battery bank

I got my Bolt Premier from Quirk on Aug.14th. Buying this car was quite the process, but my perseverance won out. Quirk had the lowest price of any dealership I researched and they had the color and options that I wanted. Because Quirk offered the MassEnergy DriveGreen discount of $6000 off MSRP, Herb Connolly lost my sale. My salesman, Conor, at Herb Connolly fought real hard to keep the sale, but his manager didn't give the green light fast enough.

I thought I did well until I met another Quirk Bolt customer who told me that they gave him $6500 off an LT without being a MassEnergy member or having an existing lease. As always, there is more that the dealers can give, but won't if not pushed. I got taken for a $500 extended warranty that the salesman says is bumper-to-bumper for 5yrs/60K miles, but I remember the business manager selling it as covering brakes, 12V battery and hoses. It could be worth it for the brake job alone, but I don't think rotors are included, so I'm not feeling great about it.

A cool discovery I made is that my municipal light company is offering a free wifi-equipped Chargepoint EVSE. That's a nice bonus!

We used to have local gatherings of the Honda Insight hybrids
It was lots of fun to discuss the cars , driving technique , and many lasting friendships developed

With good driver technique the car could get over 100 mpg , so mpg contest were always a part of a gathering

it In my two weeks of owning my Bolt I have found I can apply some of the same techniques and easily
get over 300 miles on a charge
With practice I believe one could hit 400

Here in New England we have mostly small to medium hills
Technique in traversing hills is big factor.
Speed is another.
So are there any local owners that are interested in
A owners meet?

Hi Bolt Owners in Massachusetts, I read this entire post and all of you mention "Bought". Is there anyone who actually leased the car in Boston, MA? Along with trying to lease a 2017 Nissan leaf S/SV(which was not successful so far due to price) I am trying to look into Bolt. I did communicate with Qurik and Muzi Chevy's. They advertise for $199/mo/zero down @ Muzi and $145/mo/zero down at Quirk. They say taxes etc., are extra. I am concerned about exactly how much this car cost per month including all extra's? Can someone kindly advise please?

My Needs: I am actually looking for an affordable second car (everyday car for wife just got a job @ 10 -12 miles max one way). I felt leasing 2017 Nissan Leaf is the best option due to free charging for 2 years but all the dealers I talked are quoting HIGH...

Thanks

At those quotes I'm guessing LT trim? I leased my loaded Premier for 36/10k at $220/mo with $2500 down in advance of the state rebate (with a couple GM incentives). I got aggressive quotes from Boch, Commonwealth and Lannan. Quirk is in the mix with the Drive Green and has lots of cars in inventory, but be careful to compare with taxes and fees accounted for. Low 200s should definitely be achievable.

I'm not sure free charging is enough to sway the choice one way or another -- there are lots of free Level 2 chargers around and at a 20-24 mile round trip your monthly cost even if you only charged at home would be about $25?

We got a Bolt EV Premier last week. Purchased for roughly $41,500 with CCS, driver confidence II and infotainment packages. We got the Arctic Blue color, that has the darker dashboard.

We got it from Herb Connolly in Framingham, MA.

Sounds like a good deal to me. While not in MA or New England, I'm heading to a local chevy dealer tonight to talk some numbers. I'm looking at a Premier with Kinetic Blue and CCS. I'd love to get them down below $40k. Your deal gives me hope that might happen.

Leased an LT last night, all 3 packages. I'll list the financial data in the price thread later. Just want to describe the sales experience here. Only took two days.

Started by filling in the Drive Green program form. They don't pitch in any money, and dealer websites can list lower prices, but it allowed me to easily contact every dealer on the list with my requirements all at the same time.

Some of them didn't respond at all. Some did, but never gave me total cost numbers, so couldn't compare them.

Massey, in RI, had good numbers, but not a car on the lot with DCFC and they didn't seem to think that fast charging was very important.

Came down to Mirik and Quirk and Mirik dropped out, not wanting or able to compete maybe, but who knows? Too bad, I liked them.

Quirk is the only one offering a free EVSE promotion, this weekend anyway. May only be in connection with Drive Green but not sure about that.

Then, out of the blue, Cargill in Putnam CT, not even on the Drive Green list, and who originally quoted much higher, decided they could match Quirk. No EVSE promotion, but I have one already, and they're way closer to me here, west of Worcester. (My closest dealer, Diamond, in Auburn MA, doesn't carry Bolts.) Getting to Braintree and back in my 24 kWh Leaf would've required a charge stop or two that a Bolt doesn't need.

I've used Cargill's charge stations with my Leafs and they're always accommodating. They tell me they'll soon have a new CCS, also publicly accessible.

So, from Thursday morning to Friday evening and I'm done. Closing went smoothly and I still had Quirk as plan B if it didn't. But happy now, car drives great, no complaints. Even the seat seems OK and I was expecting to have to do the foam hack after my test drives, but this car is fresh off the train and possibly GM has made padding adjustments? Could be I just have new car excitement and I'll do the hack later.

Now have to learn all the new features and settings. Never used onstar or car play before.

Also, wife seems cured of her range anxiety and wants to take my car. May have to get another.

MA inspection stations had to buy all new equipment for 10/1/2017. Office manager at the garage I went to told me the new machine has 6 mounted cameras and one hand held camera that record both the car's condition as well as who performed the inspection. Supposedly to end the practice of giving stickers to friends whose car would otherwise fail.

Lots of problems with the machines. Took over a half hour before they could print my sticker properly.

DNA, I couldn't get my inspection sticker at the dealer because of this. He told me they all were down.
I am going to call the Chevy dealer close to me to see if theirs is up yet.

Crazy how they do stuff and it isn't fault free when they make you use it !

Oh I know, but the dealerships are cleaner ;) and they should have their machines working. As apposed to small garages.

I FINALLY just got my registration from the dealer. I hate that I had to call, again.
