I enjoy reading EV news from all around the world, but sometimes things are lost in translation...

In the middle of electric cars are mainly cars of Honda and Toyota for sale. Tesla belongs to the upper segment. Both Tesla (the Model 3) and GM (with the Chevy Bolt) come to the market in 2017 with an electric car for the middle segment. Much is expected of both.
