Problems, Bugs, Weird Stuff, Glitches, Concerns Here

I have a host of gremlins, some listed here and some I don't see. My Bolt is very early production November 2016. I keep my display set to night because I like the black background. The first indication was my display changed to the default daytime white. Then I started to notice many other...

Solution for the Narrow Front Seat

I drove the car for about 70 miles yesterday with the cushion in place. It helps, but because it raises the back up an inch or so even when compressed, the seat belt latch now digs into my hip/thigh. I can slide over to the left a bit and it is OK so I am good for now. I will report back after I...

    VIN Decoded and production numbers

GM has been known to capture many of the earliest cars in a production run for a QA/QC review. My VIN is 128xxx. According to the invoice the build date was 11/16/16, but it wasn't invoiced until 01/06/17. The window sticker is also mostly blank and states it is a "shipping label" and that...

One Week Bolt Review and Comparison with Prior Electric Cars

Your reported 4.7 miles per kWh for 31.0 kWh over 145 miles (158 MPGe) is a very good number and I am sure achievable. If-fact I have seen my 50 mile average close to 6 miles per kWh (202 MPGe) a couple of times. Driving the car in real world conditions for 795 miles, I am at 3.6 miles per kWh...

Solution for the Narrow Front Seat

Not sure if that is allowed on this forum. Since I can't find a rule against it here is the link: Clever Seat Cushion

Solution for the Narrow Front Seat

I believe I have found a solution for the narrow front seat. I have not yet driven for any time/distance with this cushion, but it feels very comfortable sitting in the garage. Hopefully this will allow me to fully enjoy the Bolt driving experience until either I lose some inches or GM comes up...

One Week Bolt Review and Comparison with Prior Electric Cars

Interesting, on my Spark I get full regen with a full charge. I have heard there are multiple firmware versions for the spark that have different torque maps etc. Perhaps we have different code in our drive system controllers. I don't have any acceleration measurements yet, just seat of the...

One Week Bolt Review and Comparison with Prior Electric Cars

I think the highway speed road noise is low. On par with a solid sport sedan. No snow tires, but we have some of the roughest highways in the country here in So Cal.

One Week Bolt Review and Comparison with Prior Electric Cars

Thanks for the reply, a couple of "engineering clarifications" The front of the seat cushion is about 18" wide, it is the hard plastic frame frame in the back that is so narrow. I do experience limited wheelspin on takeoff. It is quickly suppressed by the TC. Did not try it yet with TC off.

One Week Bolt Review and Comparison with Prior Electric Cars

I got my Bolt Premier will all options (MSRP $43,905) one week ago, I have driven it about 500 miles so far and it’s time for the first review. Some background. I live in Southern California and the Bolt is my third electric car after a 2011 Volt and a 2014 Spark EV. My daily commutes varies...

    ~450 Bolt EV's in Stock

Beware the fine print. I had a a dealer claim to be giving me a hefty discount on the price, only to have them then try to mark up the lease finance rate. Needless to say I kept looking. I have the General Motors LLC invoice for my car (loaded Premier MSRP $43,905), after IMR and LMA the...

    Now I'm Ready to Negotiate

I just ran it with your sheet and got exactly the same numbers as mine. Very cool the numbers are the same and I am confident these calculators are accurate! Your Sheet with my numbers I did notice that your sheet subtracts the $7,500 Federal Tax Credit from the "Adjusted Capital Cost"...

    Now I'm Ready to Negotiate

Thanks for the interest JupiterMoon. Where do you see it high? I too have a detailed calculating spreadsheet and it matches my actual lease contract within $0.03 on the total of all payments. Monthly payment is a match to the penny and drive-off is within $0.01. It also matches using the GM...
