Chevy Bolt EV wins Canadian Green Car of the Year Award

The only other vehicle on the list to get any 'first place' votes was the Pacifica - but the Bolt got 11 and the Pacifica only 2! Source: http://driving.ca/chevrolet/bolt/auto-news/news/chevy-bolt-wins-2017-canadian-green-car-award

Best range and efficiency - what are you getting?

When I test drove my Bolt before leaving the dealership I saw it said 231 miles, but ever since then it's been going lower. I assume that's because of my overall driving averages. This morning when I got in, it was cold out, and I had the heat on, but it said 208 miles. What is everyone else...

I came across an interesting article about available 'future' tech for batteries which I wanted to share with the Chevrolet Bolt Forum. Here is the full article:http://seekingalpha.com/article/3954736-future-batteries-tesla-model-3-chevy-bolt There are technologies available today that can...

To lease, or to buy? That is the question...

What do you think? Would you lease or outright buy the Bolt EV when it comes out later this year? I seem to remember the Nissan LEAF dropping in value quite fast because of battery degradation etc issues, but actually recently I saw an article discussing how well LEAFs had held their value from...

Do we know what size the Bolt is?

From the pictures leaked today is looks like the height of it is somewhere around the Sonic or Trax height. That puts it at a little smaller than the LEAF doesn't it?

In a recent article on USA Today, Alan Batey is quoted as saying the name could "go either way" since GM is still "in the decision phase."

Chevrolet Bolt vs Tesla Model 3

I've seen a lot of talk about the comparison between the Chevy Bolt EV and the Tesla Model 3. I don't really think they're comparable. But when did anybody go to BMW looking for a $40 thousand dollar sedan, and then decide nope, I'll just buy a 4 seater Chevy Spark?

Will the Bolt EV name stick? (poll)

Last month, GM executives told The Detroit News the Chevy Bolt name could be changed, as critics have complained the name is too close to the Chevy Volt, GM’s plug-in hybrid car. GM North America President Alan Batey said the company needs to communicate the name. He called the Bolt “the brother...

    Coming in 2017, maybe 2018?

According to some media outlets, they are saying expect a late 2017 introduction as a 2018 model. However, I thought from GM's presentation it was a late 2016, early 2017 introduction? Here's what someone said in comments on a news site:

Competing with Model 2, or the i3?

To me, the Chevy Bolt EV looks more like a replacement for the BMW i3 than a vehicle that will compete with Tesla's Model 3. It has a similar shape and size to the i3, and seats 4. It isn't a crossover, it's more of a tall sub-compact like the i3. Granted, that's hard to judge until we see them...
