    My Bolt is Gone!

Returned my Bolt to the dealer on Sunday 2/2. Only put 7972 miles on it in the 3 years that I leased it. It was in "as new" condition w/current red CA HOV stickers on it; all other CA HOV stickers are no longer valid. Whoever gets it in resale will be a very lucky person. The only EV that...

Bolt Air Compressor/Tire Inflator - For Sale

The charger is OEM equipment and has to remain w/the car when it is returned. I have never needed to use it. The person who did the pre-return inspection specifically asked for and looked for it before signing off on the vehicle w/no chargebacks required, which I expected since there are...

Bolt Air Compressor/Tire Inflator - For Sale

I still have 5 others. See my signature below. All ICE but they get me where I need to go. The jury's out on whether or not I'm going to buy another EV. I've still got the Clipper Creek charger in the house; no plans to sell it. And, I could acquire another EV at any time if I find the...

Bolt - OEM Carpet Mat Set - For Sale

The lease on my 2017 Bolt expires in Feb 2020. Replaced the dark gray OEM carpets mats that came w/the car w/the GM all weather rubber mats. Have never used the OEM carpet mats. This is a complete set (front & back). MSRP $140 and they retail for about $125. Will take $95 (OBO) for them...

Bolt Air Compressor/Tire Inflator - For Sale

The lease on my 2017 Bolt expires in Feb 2020. Bought a Chevy air compressor/tire inflator for it that I've carried in the car but have never had to use. MSRP is $95 and it retails for around $80. Will take $65 (OBO) for it plus shipping. PayPal G&S payment preferred. PM me if...

    Does the MyChevrolet App work?

Yes the Chevy app works but I haven't used it since the 1st few months after I leased my Bolt over 2.5 yrs ago. No real need for it.

So are we all going to end up buying our cars after our leases are up?

Yes, I got one. Waiting for the followup letter offering specific terms for extending the lease or a buyout.

    experience with lease return process?

My lease expires in Feb 2020. I've had many lease returns in the past and it's really very simple. Just drive it to your local dealer and tell them you want to give up possession of your leased vehicle which is expiring on "x" date. They will do a physical inspection of the car, check the...

Best solvent to remove California CAV sticker residue?

Heat is usually the best way to remove such stickers. Not so much it will blister the paint but enough to loosen it. A hair dryer will usually work but a heat gun will be better. You can get one from Harbor Freight for $30. Just be careful how you use it or you'll could damage the paint.

Amazon Package Delivery To Your Bolt

Ok, I got the package and it was delivered by USPS to my house; not by Amazon to my car. After over 15 mins via chat w/Amazon customer service, they still couldn't tell me if the package was being delivered for in-car delivery or not and, if not, why not. With all the technology available...

This Stupid Recall Just Broke My Car

This is exactly why I have no intention of taking my Bolt to the dealer to address these recalls. I haven't had any problems worth mentioning w/my Bolt. Taking any car to a dealer or shop is a major inconvenience to me and I'm a believer in the old adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."...

POLL: Did you lease or buy?

Leased. I've previously leased many cars/trucks. The Bolt is somewhere between number 5-10. I've owned and leased over 60 cars/trucks/motorcycles in the 67 years of my life to date. I leased the Bolt because: 1) I didn't intend/want to keep it beyond 3 years because of the rapid changes in...

Amazon Package Delivery To Your Bolt

Looks like the Amazon in-car delivery has been a failure for me but the results are still pending. Placed an order yesterday but there was no indication in the order or shipping confirmation that it will be delivered to my Bolt. Had an unsatisfying "chat" w/Amazon customer service and no one...

Amazon Package Delivery To Your Bolt

I assume they will have to unlock the whole car which will allow them manually open the trunk, put the package in and then relock the car (if you don't have the auto relock feature engaged, as I do). Not worried about them taking anything from the car because, if I'm going to let them do this...

Where Are The Rear Jack Points?

Since the Bolt has self-sealing tires and no spare, GM obviously doesn't think you (or a tow truck driver) need to know where the jack points are. After doing a brief Google search, I found the following info in Post #52 on the following page in ChevyBolt.org...

Amazon Package Delivery To Your Bolt

Yes, you can remote unlock/lock your Bolt via the OnStar or MyChevy apps. Amazon is able to open the car using it's KeyPass program linked w/the OnStar info that you have to give them but they CANNOT start or drive the car (or so they say). Personally, I'm not worried about it. An order...

Remote Link -- Useless with OnStar Basic Plan?

True, I cannot get the "Charging and Efficiency Status" from the Onstar website anymore (not sure I could ever get it from the Chevy website) but it's still available on both the Chevy and OnStar apps, so, if that is the only complaint, I don't see how it matters.

Remote Link -- Useless with OnStar Basic Plan?

This doesn't sound right. Are you talking about the computer screen in your car or at home? I can log into Onstar on my computer at home and get all the basic info there and they send me monthly diagnostic reports automatically by email w/o me doing anything. Remote control is only available...

Capital Chevrolet in San Jose -- Deals

$2k down and $100/month? Agree sounds crazy cheap (and too good to be true) but it certainly would be worth a stop by the dealership to see if it's legit or not, if you're in the area and are in the market to lease one.
