2017 Chevy Bolt is Motor Trend Car of the Year Finalist

The Bolt is in the running with these other finalists:

We Like: That it's fun to drive, its impressively roomy interior, and its benchmark range for the money.

We Don't Like: The lagging charging infrastructure and fussy styling details.

Reading the article, the biggest reason the Model 60 was a finalist was the software-limiting of the Model S 60 battery. Really? That's a feature?

Whatever. Hope the Bolt wins, It is certainly the most ground-breaking car on the list.

Winning the MT car of the year award is no great honor. If I didn't know better I'd say money was a big influence. Look at some of the past winners: PT Cruiser, Renault Alliance, Chevy Citation, Mustang II, Chevy Vega, some pretty distinguished company.

That aside, I'm looking forward to getting a Bolt.
