From General Motor's Warren Tech Center, the company held a press briefing and explained the extent of their partnership with LG in the making of the Chevrolet Bolt.
The compact utility crossover electric vehicle is promised to have more than 200 miles of range and be priced at or below $30,000 after US tax incentives.
The Bolt EV "required an unprecedented supplier relationship combining expertise in infotainment, battery systems and component development with GM's proven in-house capabilities in electric motor design, battery control, system validation and vehicle body/system integration."
Quite a mouth full, but what it means is that LG will be supplying much more than the batteries for the Chevy Bolt Electric - they will also be supplying the infotainment and instrument cluster in the upcoming Bolt.
