Tomorrow GM will announce the number of Bolt EVs sold in the month of January 2017. It's the first full month of sales, and even though the Bolt is available in 2-ish states, GM themselves have hinted at 1200+ sales.

During a Bolt test drive event in California last week GM spokespeople mention about 1200 sales for the Bolt, but that may have been a worst case scenario.

My guess is 1425.

What's yours?

Last month, in only a half month of sales, GM moved 579 Bolt EVs, and that was only through a couple dealerships until December 28th IIRC.

My guess is 1700 which would be amazing and set all sorts of EV records for January.

The sales figure is 1,162 for January.

If the weather hadn't been so bad in Oregon, the car had better seats, and if GM hadn't, as reported, stopped out-of-state sales, maybe it would have been a little higher.

The other interesting part is that Volt sales were the highest of any plug-in vehicle in January.... could be that some people who heard about the Bolt and went to dealers to check it out ended up with a Volt.

If Chevy works on the seats, and actually follows their rollout plan, then August and September will be record months to watch for!
