    Weathertech ... Soon

Just got the Weathertech installed this weekend. Very nice materials and fit. The Weathertech liner for the driver's position locates very solidly on the two anchor pins provided in the floor of the car, I have no worries about these sliding around. From the picture the Tuxmat looks to be...

    Winter Tires

The nights are getting longer and colder and it's likely we'll see at least some of the frozen variety of precipitation this season here in the Pacific NW. IIRC the owners manual indicates even type "S" tire chains are a no-no for the Bolt EV. Has anyone come across a favored winter tire...

    Who has over 15,000 miles?

Did not get a car wash at 7500, but then they still haven't managed to upgrade the infotainment system correctly (still at rev 13.4).

What are the Trailer Interface Module fuses for?

That's the kind of setup that makes me wonder if my 1000 lb pop-up would work. Of course with a leased car no way I'm going to try...

    Energy Score -> Climate Settings

Nissan didn't stop using PTC heaters, they did add a heat pump as an option.

    Battery Management

Very interesting. I had noticed the guess-o-meter becoming more and more optimistic over time (I have had hilltop reserve turned on for charging at home all this time) and after my Seattle trip the numbers are much lower than before. Guess I should give an occasional charge to 100% as well...

    PDX to SEA trip report

As I mentioned in the charging forum, I had plans to make a Portland-Seattle round trip which I completed on Sunday. Here's a brief recap of my experience: I left my home in N. Portland about 12:45, with 100 percent charge. I kept mostly to the speed limits on I-5 (a mix of 60 and 70 in WA)...

Rattle noise from the center console screen area

Usually this kind of problem is covered under the "adjustment period" which for most manufacturers is 12 months, 12000 miles.

    Infotainment current version

One would think, except when CarPlay is running the seat heater controls are unavailable.

    Infotainment current version

Ironically got a card from my selling dealer on Saturday claiming "Our Chevrolet Certified Service technicians are experts who know your Chevrolet better than anyone", offering me an oil change for $49.95. To be fair, the "Service Alert" box in the fold-out did say the service on offer is...

    Car Wash Mishap

You only need car wash mode if you're leaving the vehicle while it's going through the wash. If you're just sitting in it and riding through you can just shift to N and it'll go just fine.

    Planning a trip to Seattle

I'm going to a certain concert by some aging Irishmen in a couple weeks, and since it will be Mothers' Day I need to go to brunch with Mom in Portland in the morning. This eliminates my plan to take the train up and back. Now I have to drive, so I'll be taking the Bolt...I am hoping maybe some...

Being kept in the dark after engine light got my car to the dealer

This sounds similar to my experience. On a hunch, I exercised the microswitch on top of the charging port with my pinkie thinking it might have gotten stuck. Three or four on-off cycles later the service light went out and hasn't come back. I've also been DCFC once since then so I know that's...

How many actual Bolt owners on this forum?

Passed 2500 miles this weekend. Other than the one-off "service soon" light that appears to have been triggered by the switch in the charging port getting stuck, no issues. I've not driven quite as much as expected due to travel and illness, which is good news for my lease allowance.

BOLT DEAD - REPLACING BATTERY...They should REPLACE THE CAR!

Frankly I think replacing the entire battery pack is a good deal for you compared with what might have happened. They could have instructed the dealer to troubleshoot individual components inside the pack for service, for instance. As far as "diagnosing" car problems these days most...

    Premier or LT

Take a look before you leap...the leather in the Premiere is perforated. That may negate its spill resistance, and have implications on durability. The cloth in the LT is of pretty durable construction, unlike the fleecy stuff in my LEAF.

Flat Tire after one week--Car has to be towed

I don't see how. The round depression that suggests a spare tire well is not a full circle. Any tire that would fit in there wouldn't be big enough to cover the brake rotor. Given that we're seeing cases where the self-sealing claims about the Michelins seem to be a bit "over inflated"...

    Can I get a non-convex side-mirror for the Bolt?

Hmm, I've not seen a car with a flat mirror on the RH side in years...

    Feb sales (952)

I've had two sightings in Portland so far, one a grey color with a driver who started waving wildly when he saw me (hi!) and the other an orange that I paced up N. Greeley ave with after dinner one evening. But more cars are going out so I know it's just a time and place thing.
